My first question is Will Lending Tree mortgage interest rate drop during an election year? Thanks for any comment. My other question... On 1-6-03 I disputed 1 charge off, 1 paid but closed with some lates, and 1 CA listing. Today I pull a TU report and they show 2 totally unrelated but positive TLs in dispute. The original TLs do not show under investigation or an updated status. Could they have messed up the investigation this badly or is this some kind of delaying tactic? I am thinking a lawsuit in either small claims or Circuit court is in order. Any thoughts or suggestions? Best way to show damages? Do I really need to give them an Intent To Sue letter? If they are going to mess up the report this badly, I don't want to give them a chance to clean it up last minute...

Yep, but you might want to make sure and wait for another member to confirm my answer as I am unsure. Better yet, why don't you contact the Lending Tree guys because they can answer you better...

Hi Jlynn.

It shows 2 items as "Being suppressed pending credit grantor update." I was assuming this shows it being in dispute. The TLs are old paid student loans. Last update on them was almost 10 years ago. What are your thoughts?..

Geez, the board is on overload right now. Did you post about this earlier? Forgive me, it's been a freaky day. I know I read something about this, and am wondering if there are others, maybe the OC has something to do with it?.

They have never shown anything in dispute that is visible on your report, if you are concerned about the "real dispute", just give them a call and ask them. This happened to me during CHOD, they lost a dispute. Got me quite a few deletions..

Sorry I can't be of more help. I've never dealt with a student loan. A suggestion between you and I, if no one answers, bump it...the board is an uproar. It will calm down, and someone will see it...

Pnwman,.

How old are your student loans? What is the "Date of Last Activity"? If they are that old, they SHOULD NOT even be on your report, correct?.

Yes, as positive TLs I would like to keep them. If, however, they go away it wouldn't be a huge issue for me. Since the last update of them is almost ten years ago, their current status must be because of the current dispute. I am still trying to decide if they trying delay, punnish or just screwed up. Ultimately I can just let things fall where they may and if need be sue. Seems strange that they are causing more trouble for themselves.

Any and all help appreciated!..

Jlynn,.

Thanks for pointing that out, I wasn't really paying attention..Sorry........

Well Pnwman,.

CRA's are known to make mistakes and this isn't unusual..

You submitted your dispute on 01-06-2003. I would say wait until the 30 days is up, and then put a little heat on them, since they made a mistake in investigating the wrongTL's, you could push for the deletion(s). But, they may try and say. Hey, we didn't get a dispute from you on these particular TL's. If it was me and that happen, I would file suit..

Just my .02$.

Is your student Lending Tree loan with Sallie Mae by any chance? If so, same exact thing happened to me..

CRRR accepted January 3rd. Pulled TU on 01/14 and noticed that all Sallie Mae accounts (all positive tradelines that I DON'T want supressed) said "Being suppressed pending credit grantor update.".

Thinking that TU made a mistake, I called customer service. Long story short, they had the right disputes in the system and said that the "Being suppressed pending credit grantor update" message was a result of Sallie Mae, not TU...

Glad to know I am not completely crazy. I was just searching to see if I had read it before, or if it was PN reposting...

Hi HD.

Thanks for the additional info. I think they may have been putting a good face on a mistake with their response. At least in my case, the TLs haven't been changed in almost 10 years. It is hard to believe Sallie Mae all of a sudden is updating. It could be their sw automatically checks Sallie Mae accounts when a dispute happens. In any case I think I will let it sit for now. Once again thanks for your help...

I just pulled my TU report tonight and noticed that same notation on my Sallie Mar TLs as well. Glad I read this thread before I posted a question!..

PN, allen074 is also seeing this on his TU report. It sounds like an OC thing. If you are still concerned with your other disputes, just give TU a call and ask them if they have started them...
