My question is Why is it that majority of our nation's Discover Card computers are? Many thanks for any response. Another question... Logged into my penfed acct and for the first time in 1.5yrs I received preapproved offers for credit products. One product is the penfed AMEX card. I already have the cashback rewards card..

My question is does accepting a pre-approval generate a hard pull? I swore I was done with new cards after Chase British Air in Nov and Schwab 2% this Jan, however a non-hard approval might make me accept...

Yeah that's what the site says when I started clicking the different card offers, I think I am inclined to take the CLI towards the cashback card, not sure I want to manage a new card..

Yeah, that's a hard call. I decided to split my 50K cash card to allocate to a new Penfed AMEX. Normally I keep all of my exposure on one card with each CU. But the bonus offer and diversity was too tempting. Totally understand about the hesitation for a new account..

But if you don't open a new one, DO accept the cli on the cash back card. There is no hard inquiry....

Split? They wouldn't go past 50k?.

Penfed is starting to not be worth the trouble...

Nope they will not go past 50K in credit cards. However the ploc is separate - they will also extend 25K on that..

Provided docs in the beginning when I requested stated max limits on both - that doesn't override their policy limit..

Yep, I also have/had some cash on deposit in CDs/savings with them as well..

Penfed is worth it to me.....

2 yrs ago I applied for a Discover credit card and an auto loan. denied for both. a day later I applied with jfcu and approved for both (using the same equifax report). never looked back..

I took the cli increase option. I really didn't want to add another card to manage. I'll check the credit report at some point to see if anything pulled...
