First off, Why don't any merchants accept Visa but not Discover Card, or vice versa? Many thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: That how I got my AmEx gold charge card..... |

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could answer your Discover Card question..

It depends on area as well. Most establishments do accept AMEX is larger cities.....

|
That's how I ended up with the Amex Green then I decided to go Platinum..
Congrats on the card... |

Have no clue was shocked myself..it was the Delta card October 2008. They were really old judgments and co with no inq and fico was about 730. Amex have been good the me since no problems with them I carry about a $1500 balace on the account and pay about $500-700 a month. The AF is$95 but I get a companion airline ticket for $99 so it kinda works itself out...

I heard Delta Skymiles is easier to get approved than the others. I didn't want to apply for travel card and I don't travel much to get rewards..

I like to have a Platinum and I don't like high AF. I couldn't use extra perks like airport lounge because I don't travel much..

I am thinking about downgrading to the Amex gold before the annual fee hits because I am not sure I want to pay the $450 AF...

|
I have been looking at Discover Card Zync Charge Card and it is pretty good card to have. It may not be as good as Gold. The annual fee is not much as Gold or Green..

The Amex Zync from the look of everything, doesn't seem to suit my needs. The Amex Gold would probably suit my needs better. But tight now, the Platinum is doing good...

That's true. The card is fit for 20's. It's not for me.

I think that the Zync is more for somebody in thier early 20's but not built for somebody (me) who is 27 and know more of what they want in a charge card...

I don't trust that card. When the going gets tough and it Amex got cranky again like they did last spring, I would imagine those accounts would be the first to go..
It's like the Titanic. First class customers are first on the lifeboats, the folks who paid the least are the last.. This post has been edited by Mapleton: 02 February 2010 - 05:44 AM.. |
