First question I have is Why doesn't the yahoo music accept my debit Discover Card? Many thanks for any answer or 2. Second question of mine... Hello All,.

This is my first post here and need some guideance. My wife and I went through some financial hardship about five years ago and basically had to charge off all of our revolving credit. Our mortagage was paid on time and sold our house in 2005. Our installment credit (auto loans) in great and we have re-established our revolving credit. Unfortunately our scores are not increasing with the new credit which is deterring us from being able to qualify for a mortgage.

We are on the second "credit repair" company and still are not seeing any real results from the disputes that these companies send. I have now managed to get the IRS to put a tax lien on my credit while I am engaged into an installement agreement (does it ever stop).

So I am seeking some guideance on what direction to go, I didn't file chapter 7 bankruptcy when we were out of work and tried to do the right thing and pay something and now I feel like we should have filed.

I want to be able to buy a home for my family and unless we win the lottery, no one will give us a shot.

So again any guideance or direction would be helpful..

Thanks..

As others have said.. fire them.. they're no good, and you can do this yourself. Read the newbies section, and re-read it, front words/backwards etc. Fire the one your with now as well.

More then likely, all Lexington Law/and or any other Cro's is doing is sending copy/paste letters, that you can find eaisly on line (not that I'm suggesting that) once you know what your doing, you'll be better able to write those letters yourself..

Not to mention, Experian will not work with you if they even get a sniff of you working with a Cro. (credit repair organization)..

Templar,.

Give yourself some grace... The credit market is tight and even those people with good credit are having trouble.

This might seem like a stupid question, but have you pulled all 3 credit reports? Did the mortgage company you applied with give you copies of what they pulled? As the others mentioned, you can probably do a better job of cleaning up your reports than a credit repair firm.

I suggest you start at the "Credit Repair 101" which is pinned in the Newbies Section...
