First off, Who sings the tune off the Discover Card adverts 2007? Thanks in advance for any comment. Another quick question... Anyone used creditkarma.com to get a free credit score? I heard about it on another site but am leary because I'm not sure if I trust that site because I've never heard about them before...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably know..

IME, the only thing that gets chopped is the CK inquiries themselves. So they won't help for bumpage, but won't harm either...

If you pull a few reports I think you will see no more than 1 €“ 3 softs from CK at any one time during the month. They really don€™t C* them, one just replaces another...

Agreed with this, but also I have had B* from pulling CK, it just happens to be the neccessary pull at the time B* is available...

IIRC the only place to get the true FICO score is from MYFICO.com..

As all the other posters have stated, it's a FAKO but it allows you to see how changes might impact your score as your repair your credit. For example, if you get a new Discover credit card and see a slight dip in your FAKO, it might be reasonable to expect to see a slight dip in your FICO. They are FAKOS after all so take them for what they are worth. They are beneficial to those who understand what the DO and DO NOT represent...

They do not represent anything. They do not trend. They have no correlation at all. Stop thinking so...

So far, mine have generally headed in the same direction as my real scores..

In my instances, FAKO up means FICO up, but the point correlation is non-existent..

Others have had different experiences, but I think it's a fair statement to make.

About most people's experiences..

As always, YMMV..

They may, just not reliably so over time..

To those who say CK can't cause C* I disagree, it can reportedly also lead to reinsertions..

Yes, mine, no links..

I can' t be sure CK was the culprit obviously but it's a primary suspect and there are many other posts indicating such..

Choppage, you might have say 30 soft inquires from CK then all of a sudden you only have one. You have just been C*. I still have not seen any reports of this happening on TU...

C* = Choppage..

The way B* works is by flooding your Credit report with soft inquiries..

Since there is a finite amount of storage with EQ/TU, they start.

Dropping INQs after you "fill the bucket"..

In some cases tho, the file gets Chopped, meaning lots of INQs.

Vanish and you have to start building up the flood again..

At least, thats the way I understand it...

Then click on START, then RUN, then type MSPAINT and hit enter..

CTRL-V will paste your image into the paint program.

After you have your screenshot, you need to publish it on the web..

I use imageshack.us most of the time..

Go to that page, upload the file you created w/ paint via the browse/upload buttons..

NOTE: Click the RESIZE OPTION and RESIZE to 640X480 for Mssg boards. If your.

Original picture is huge it will post HUGE..

Once youre your file is uploaded, you will roll to another page with a bunch of links..

You'll see an entry/link called "Direct Link"..

Copy the Direct link and enclose that link in [ I M G ] PICTURE LINK [ / I M G ] (without the spaces).

And a pic will post...

Here's one I did recently to show off my recent Gulf Shores Trip:.

In the last few month my CK score has gone up and down to the same levels even while my fico moved down (how much is decided by who you pull, score watch from EQ or report from myfico). It seems to of evened out now...

Everyone starts somewhere robots. I just happen to be an I.T. guru, so.

A quick tutorial was easy..

You're always welcome to PM me if.

You have issues with it or I wasnt clear about something..

That pic is the Gulf Shores Coast on 1-11-10 at sunset..

(Thanks to CB, I could afford a nice little getaway with my sweetie this past weekend).

I also managed to get my Trailblazer stuck in the sand, positioning it for pictures,.

But thats another story...lol I will say this tho:.

In Alabama, DO NOT KILL/MAIM/TOUCH or EVEN STAND NEAR a Sea Oat..

$1000 fine PER PLANT if you mangle one. Luckily, I didnt hurt any of them.

In my TB on the beach adventure....

THE CRA BASICALLY.

THEFTS.

A TON OF SOFTS (like 50 or 100 or more) AT ONE TIME TO SLOW DOWN or PREVENT MORE "B"..

Just got a copy of my TU report and it looks like you guys are right about CK. I've been using it for at least 3 weeks and I see a total of twoTWO!!!softs from CK. That downright sucks. What a waste of time for something no more than a FAKO...

I guess the people who said they got "C".

LIED.

"C" refers to like 50 or 100 softs (or more at one time).

POOF GONE.

NOT ONE or TWO GOING POOF IN A DAY.
