IME the 7-9 days msg was a denial.
They auto denied for CLIs requested on any of Amex CCs more often than every 6 months (so if you have multiple cards with them, IIRC you can request a CLI on just one Amex card every 6 months), maybe that was the reason. All others were instant approval with soft pull. Not sure yet what happens past $25k, soft or hard... |

As a data point, when you called in, did they pull a hard or just a soft? Did they ask to send in income docs straight away?..
