First question I got is Which is accepted more, Visa Debit Card or Discover Card? Hoping for any response. Another quick question.... |

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could assist you..

I've been in the high 20's for five years or more..
I don't think they jack rates beyond that. Their. Interest income is still zero.. ER.. |
No RJ from Chase, but they're still my highest at 13.24%that is until my new Citi rate of 15.99% kicks in next month..
Hegis that 5.24% on a non-AF card? Just curious... |

DUPE..

$60 AF mileage plus card..
I've been confused by the APR since rewards cards mostly have terrible APR... |
My 3 lowest apr (personal) cards have rewards and no annual fee. Though they are not issued by Chase:.
Ameriprise WE rewards @ 4.5%. Addison Avenue cash back card @ 5.24%. Merrill+ sig rewards @ 5.99%. My lowest Chase is my amazon rewards at 8.24% ?? I can't verify as chase is "down". This post has been edited by. TrevorHere. : 15 November 2009 - 10:20 AM.. |

I wish I could join this club, but Chase did indeed jack my APR twice..
Raised it to 10.24% variable right after they acquired WaMu's card portfolio.. Got notice that they will raise it again to 13.24% at the end of this year.. Aside from the APR, so far, no other form of AA's... |
No RJ, high APR from the start (prime+10) but it's PIF, I'm guessing since it's a cash back card (old Freedom)..
9.24 on my Slate and they're flooding my mailbox with low rate BT balance checks...
My Chase cards that originated with Chase are still the same...I did see something like two percent in re-pricing on the ex-WAMU card. It has always been a PIF card with no annual fee, so it is NOT a big deal to me...
Obviously I did not knock loud enough...or maybe it was synthetic material I was knocking on and not wood...in any case.
Just got my RJ..from 13.24% to 19.24%. Always PIF, so I really don't care. At least in the mailing they had one true statement..."The reason we are doing this is to maintain profitability on this account"...although if they looked, they have never made a $.01 on me in interest charges, so they could jack it to 50% and it wouldn't matter. I am just waiting for them to slash my rewards program to the new rotating categories...then I will convert the card to a non world MC (so it reports the limit) and SD it... |
So far, no change:.
Purchase APR 5.24. Cash advance APR 17.24.. |
I was about to post in here saying they had not touched mine..... Then I logged into my account and see it was raised from 8 to 15.24%. Like you I pif, and I have got a couple hundred in rebate checks from them this year so far. If they touch the rewards on it or charge an AF on it, I will close it immediately. It is a signature card that I have had with them for four years, perfect history with them...
My rate has been stuck at the same 13.24 for a while now. On principle alone this card gets a minimum amount of usage. I always PIF but I don't think they're entitled to 10 points...
And if you are paying (with Discover card) in full, then they are NOT getting ten points...
Exactly. I am not going to close the account because of the rate going up...the rate really doesn't matter when you PIF...and even at the 13.24% prior I would never carry a balance on the card. if I have to carry a balance I would use my Ameriprise @ 4.5%.....
12.99 here, been stuck there for some time now. Just got a notice that the cash advance APR is going up, but not purchase APR...
I just got a notice about by Amazon telling me my APR is going variable (it always has been) and that overdraft APR is going up to 19.9% (I don't have a checking account with chase)..
Meh..... |
I get that a PIF account could carry a 100% APR and it would still be 0%. Still it tells me what they think of me...
A large segment of PIF card holders reportedly prefers the lowest rate where available, it crosses over into a trust issue for some. when trust seems to be a major issue, it may not be appealing to give a bank lots of business even if they can't gouge you as a PIF customer...

As of today before I went to the mailbox, I can legitimately post in this thread..
However now I just opened one piece of mail and am going from 0% 1 year wamu expiring to 21 percent in January. I'm too afraid to open the other one lol... |
Chase closed an acct I had with them @ ~ 30%. After a year of on time payments, they dropped the rate to ~ 16%..
1k more and I'm done! I seriously doubt they'll re-open the acct upon payoff but who knows. Peace,. Ishmael.. |
Opened my 2nd chase notice and my 11.49 with 1500 balance is staying the same...what the heck..why jack only one up to 21%?? probably because that one has 3500 balance but I call discrimination..

2 accts:.
5.24%. 16.24% (received notice ages ago that it is going to 17.24 but it hasn't yet).. |
