Got a quick question: Which difference between American Express, Visa and Discover Card? Thanks in advance for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Ok, let's discuss this. (Taken from another thread).

Gemb and Credit One and HSBC all seem to note this on credit reports once they have charged something off..

I like the train of thought that the collection agency ISN'T a lender and therefore, that statement should not be there..

I'm thinking I may try disputing this but have an almost 100% positive feeling that they are going to come back with it verified..

Steps after that? My goal is to get it deleted...

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can help you..

I can see how "Lender" could be considered innacurate in the case of a CA although I think I would rather have that have them mark it "sold to collections."..

Yup.. I think some just like find errors on a simple word "technicality" rather than facts.

The 'PBAL" is not a free-form entry. The Metro2 codes do not have multiple codes for the type of purchaser when a debt has been sold off..

And, given that the term 'lender' is not defined in the FCRA, what specific statute would you claim makes the verbiage inaccurate (ie. what statute defining the term 'lender' are you going to cite)?..

That's actually what I was trying to point out in my thread when someone tried saying I should get my account deleted based on "Factoring Company" Simply because the statement said "purchased by another lender" I actually had to laugh because the poster apparently had no idea what they were talking about, since we are dealing with Oc's rather then Ca's..

But back on topic. I agree.. the FCRA does not define what lender is, so how will one get it off their reports if they cannot cite specific FCRA violations?..
