My first question is WHICH bank accounts give cards to under 18's which have switch, maestro or Discover Card? Thanks for any answer. Second question.. Searched but couldn't find related posts. If you know of one, please point me to it. Thanks!.

I've recently pulled from MPM, CCT, and MyFico. I just noticed that there are discrepancies between all 3 of the CR's I'm getting from these pulls..

CCT shows 4 baddies. Of these baddies, none are showing in EQ. 1 is showing only on TU, 1 is showing only on EX, the last 2 are showing on EX and TU..

MPM shows 3 baddies. The accts show the same as CCT except for the missing one, which is the 1 showing only on EX..

MyFico shows 3 baddies. The accts show the same as MPM and CCT except all 3 are listed on TU and EQ. I don't know about EX since it's not included in the report..

Can someone help me understand why different pullers are showing different data? I understand the FAKO's would potentially be different, but my CR acct history is the same no matter who pulls it, right? What would cause these kinds of discrepancies?.

Appreciate the help!.

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can help you..

For disputes you should never rely on third party reports..

You need hard copies or full electronic copies from all four major CRAs...

A follow up question -.

MyFico says it offers *true* FICO scores to the consumer for 2 of the CRA's. Therefore, please help me understand how the CR that is the basis for the FICO scores could be different from the big 3's data. I mean, if it is a true FICO score, then it should be based on accurate information as reported by the CRA's, right? If not, wouldn't it just be another FAKO?..

It is a real FICO score, but there are different versions of FICO used by different industries. the data used is what is in your current credit file..

Then again, see post #4..

Thanks for the reply hege.

I'm not bringing this up in the context of a dispute though. I'm trying to undertand how a FICO score from myfico could be a valid FICO score when the data the score is based on is inaccurate..

By inaccurate, I mean differing from the CRA..

THE BIG 3 CAN'T BE.

100% ACCURATE.

...why would any daily.

F.A.C.O..

Be more accurate.

Show me somebody with.

ALL 3 CRA's THE SAME.

...I will show you somebody who doesn't even have any file (like a 7 year old).

If the acct's on my CR as pulled from myfico are not an accurate representation of the accts that are actually on CRA's acct history for my CR with each of the big 3, then how can I be getting a real FICO score from myfico?.

In other words, if nothing other than a hard copy CR from the CRA's contains accurate data, how can companies like myfico be selling FICO scores?.

As a technical engineer, it's really frustrating to find out that services I pay for to get data about me aren't capable - for one reason or another - of actually getting accurate data. What's the point of the daily pullers if it's a crapshoot whether the data I'm seeing is an accurate representation of my ACTUAL credit report. Technically, we're not talking about a lot of data here - it's mind boggling that in this day and age we can't even retrieve small amounts of data accurately - even for a PAID service!..

Myfico uses exactly what is in your consumer report..

The point of daily pullers is B* and to passively monitor your reports...

Ok, maybe I'm just not getting it..

If myfico truly uses what's in my CR as listed by the CRA, then the CR I get and the information the FICO is based on from myfico should have the exact same acct info as the CRA..

Right?.

What I took from people's previous comments was that NO consumer puller is accurate -.

Including myfico.

, the ONLY accurate CR is the hard copy you get direct from the big 3 CRA's..

But for that to be true, then myfico's FICO scores could be inaccurate since the FICO score they'd provide may be based off inaccurate information..

Lol am I making any sense?..

The report generated by myfico has always matched my hard copy report. my advice was to not use third party reports for disputes. In some ways the report from myfico is not from a third party since FICO is providing you a file number and access...

Yes, perfect sense....

Though the fico scoring model may be 100% accurate, the info contained within the report they base the score on may be innacurate thereby making the fico, though and accurate model...just as innacurate as a fako.

Good catch btw...I hadn't really thought of that myself..

Ok cool - so if I want an accurate CR report I go to myfico and pay to pull.

If I want a daily puller I use one of the services (CCT, MPM, etc) but the report may not be accurate.

It still boggles my mind that I can't get accurate daily CR's from a third party. What the heck am I paying (with Discover card) for?..

Lol I get it hege.

B*.

I also understand that daily puller CR's shouldn't be used for disputes..

I hear you loud and clear..

My original point, which seems to have gotten lost along the way, was about the FICO score and the CR I get from myfico and the other consumer pulling services..

With your help, I now understand that NO consumer CR pulling service will always provide a completely accurate representation of what the CRA's have in their files/databases. This seems completely ridiculous to me - not your commentary - but the sad truth that even with a paid service I can't have any confidence in the data I'm looking at. It makes me wonder why people would even look at their CCT, MPM etc CR's at all. Just click the "Order New Report" and hope for B* (if you're lucky). That's all those services are good for...

Wrong. Tri-merge reports can have tons of discrepancies. I can't even begin to explain how inconsistent my reports are. Even online reports direct from the Big 3 can be distorted because of space confinement. Only reliable source is a paper copy from each bureau..
