Funny, I just finished printing up a letter to TU to dispute as obsolete. This is also from 2/2005, so hopefully I'll have the same luck as you..

SST are definitely hard-a$$es. When speaking to them on the phone I got the "Federal law requires we report this information to the credit bureaus so we have to report it." line.

So I responded, "Yes, I understand that, however the federal law only requires that the information you report must be accurate, it does not require that you report all information.".

Silence..

"Yes, well sir I'm sorry but we just won't be able to help you with your request.".

Lol. Sigh..

She was nice but definitely a hard nut to crack.
