Got a quick question: Where can I buy a VISA or Discover Card gift card online in Canada? Looking forward for any response. Another question on my mind: If so, what do I say the next time I call up Capital One, assuming they "Automatically opted me in" to something that skirts the act on items like "Over the Limit"?.. |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could answer your Discover Card question..

Keep your utilization down and then you don't have to worry about calling anybody...!!!..

CSR's are not policy-makers and rarely get internal practice correct...and you expect them to know, much less give a damn, the law governing subprime card practices?.
As someone else noted...don't run the card up and the OTL nonsense becomes moot... |
|
So whats the "Mostly" part? Is the OTL law the last to go?.
For all yo uguys know, I could be writing a research paper and am askign the Experts...... |
|
Card issuers have until 2.22 or 2.25 to fully implement the reserve's interpretation of the CCARDA. after that if they are not in compliance they are subject to fines and for N.A. banks consent orders...

Shouldn't be calling up cap1 to argue new law telephonically in any case..
Waste of time... |
