Quick question... What's the process for refinancing on a home Lending Tree mortgage? Many thanks for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. I have an account that has a history from 2/96 thru 7/97 as being 120 days late every month. After that time the account had been paid and has been open with an R1 status until I recently closed it in October. Can I dispute this history between 2/96-7/97 as being 7 years old for deletion, or will each late disappear month by month.

lol Any suggestions?.

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably know..

For some reason I have saw information that states from date of initial deliquency the TL gets removed. I have heard and read so many different versions of the truth. What do you think?.

Not true, for example, if you have an open tradeline on Exp but shows a late, Exp states 'this will go to a positve status on xxxxx'..

Are you saying if you have a 30 year Lending Tree mortgage and you are late the first month that late will stay on you're credit report for 37 years if you pay on it for 30 years. NOPE!..

Where I'm confused is why you think this is 7 years old..

Must be the public school system..

Tnobles,.

Is this the "DOLA" or initial Deliquency? Does this account contain a string of late payments after 2/96 that you never caught up on but paid the account instead. Still never becoming current again?.

You know what, I just reread you're post, I just noticed that you said you closed it last month. My apolagies. I am stumped. The account should still not show the delinquencies past the 7 years. They cannot, in this case report these lates for 14 years...

Actually, sinse the aact is now closed the whole tradeline should be deleted 7 years from the date of last delinquency so 7 years from x97'..

If the last delinquent date is say 7/1997 and if the last acitivity in the account is say 7/2002, does it mean this negative tradeline will stay until 7/2009 ?

Well unless someone either intentionally or accidentally hit the wrong button.. and reaged a account.. Which isnt common, with some Collectors.. Is it illegal yes.. Is it done.. Hell yes....

Disagree... it will most likely go to positive status 07/04, not deleted...

If it were a charge-off or collection... it would be deleted after 7 years. But I've had 2 accounts that I closed while in good status which became positive tradelines after 7 years on EXP and EQ. It just might depend on the CRA?..

I coulld be wrong kit, I am not stating fact, but from past experience. If there are any negative notations on an account that is closed, the tradeline is considered deragatory, therefore removed at 7 years from delenquency. Hubby lost alot of otherwise good tradelines in the past year because of this, hit the 7 year mark. But if the account is open after 7 years of the delequency, it is then changed to a positive status...

These facts sound good, I concur. But I am speaking about today. I'd like this TL to either go positive or be deleted KNOW. lol Any suggestions?.
