Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably could answer your Lending Tree question..

Yeah I read it. Pretty sad. It doesn't give me much hope. That guy has been dealing with it for years. I wonder if it's even worth going on. Why subject myself to the stress of more interrogations so they can deny the claim anyway.
How many claims get paid after an examination under oath. I bet the number is pretty low.. Kim.. |

It's a sad situation to pay for a product you will never receive but at least it's not.
As bad as mandatory auto insurance where the state forces you to pay for something you won't get. At least there is no law forcing you to buy other types of insurance... |

This is not usually the case. Usually the detectives they hire are the very best, close to retirement or retired, and the insurance companies pay them upwards of six figures, just so they have the very best working for them. Their job is difficult, they have to be able to investigate without causing the type of probem you are seeing here. Most people who are being investigated don't even know it..
In some cases (like with the UNUM stuff you probably saw on TV) an insurance company has a quota for claim denials. That's really bad for their policy holders.. However, a lot of time this type of thing is a mistake, and is cleared up or dropped when it is found to be a valid claim.. Insurance companies. Have. To investigate fraudulent claims - there is just too much of it. Premiums would go even higher if they didn't. You wouldn't believe the schemes that people try... |

Sounds like this might be the case. Look on these sites I listed, and contact one of them and discuss your situation. Insurance companies prosecute if they believe the claim is fraudulent - they don't necessarily just deny the claim. You could be facing criminal charges. Talk to a lawyer...
