Got a question, hope someone can answer... What is the best way to get leads in marketing Lending Tree mortgage loans? Many thanks for any comment. My 2nd question... I noticed when I go to apply that it states it will tell me which card to apply for. Then I need to apply for that card.. |

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably can answer it..

Mine and my hubbies were soft as well. They wanted a $19 fee so I declined for the unsecured. We found a trick..go to Best Buy, apply, get turned down for Best Buy but hubby got approved for Household (this resulted in 2 hard) without the $19 fee!..

I applied for the Orchard card and they said I sould apply for the HH CC and they only pulled a soft on EX. when I applied for the HH card they pulled a hard on EQ..

If you have BK type history with Household/Beneficial, should you avoid applying for an Orchard card?..

I applied online and they said I should go for the secured card. I turned it down because $35 is a lot when I can get that with a bank locally that's not subprime..
Thanks for all the responses... |

Not sure...but I have a CO with Orchard Bank from 2000 and was able to get a new card this past November. You may wanna give it a shot..

We filed Chapter 7 BK - discharged 10/1/02. Beneficial was a discharged creditor for approx. $5K - my name only on that account. Hubby and I both approved for unsecured Orchard cards in November. His credit limit $1K - mine is $750 - $69 annual fee on both - no monthly charges. Applied for both accounts online at Orchard site.
Heard nothing for 2 weeks then my card arrived in the mail. Our EQ scores are low 500's. Hope this helps... |

Well, I bit the bullet and applied online. Got an instant approval! Waiting to see how much CL I get..
BTW, Beneficial was part of my BK7 to the tune of $34K (not a typo, second mortgage) and I know they likely didn't recover any of it from the sale of our house because it was one of those 125% loans.. Also, they pulled EXP. I checked. Www.millcbs.com. Before and verified after... |

Thanks for the link to that board. I check out as many bk forums as I can to just get info and see what's out there! I wish there was one really hot one like CN that was jumping everyday!.
I got Orchard right after discharge and they've been the most decent card I have almost. I like being able to pay online, my rate is 18.99 but that's better than 21+. I got one cl increase for $100 about 6 mos after opening (paid $5.00) and then they gave me another $100 a year later (N/C). I don't like that they won't even budge on the annual fee but can understand their point too. They know they have us pretty much and we need to rebuild somehow. They do tell you if your credit has improved you're welcome to apply for a better product that they offer. Good luck on rebuilding!. Newstdt.. |

The BK Cafe is brand new. The hope is that it will become active like CN. I wanted to put something like CN together, but specifically for people who have or will file BK. I'm in the process of getting the site registered with the major search engines and indexes. Also, have plans for publishing articles of interest to BKers. Make sure you register and I'll keep you updated on the site status...
