Quick question... What is more accepted in London, Visa or Discover Card? Hoping for any answer. Another question... CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW??.. |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could give you help..

Most 800 numbers are not a separate line, they're just a toll free front to the main number.
I can understand your frustration at not being able to get through, but they've been around for 60 years and have over a billion in assets. Not too big to fail, but 'losing confidence' in an institution over not being able to get in touch with someone over a holiday weekend, and then having the problem resolved by 10-11am on the next business day is a wee bit of an over reaction IMHO.. I only have around $3,000 on deposit with them, and are not their apologist. But having said that, I'd rather they use their money on higher deposit interest rates than 7x24 customer service and triple redundancy on their call center phone lines... |

I have high standards, NASA did not live up to them..
NASA has dropped in my estimation, that's all.. I won't move much more money over to them.. BUT, I'm still going to hit them up for..... |
|
I wonder if they could do an emergency FORWARD ALL CALLS from the toll free numbers to the CSR's personal cell phones.
(with-out the toll free lines being in working order).. |

You have Quicken doing the login process? I've had problem some times just logging in from a different IP address that I've not used before(and being overseas a lot makes it suck.....I use BOA portfolio that uses a back-end to login to NASAFCU, as times their(BOA) uses a rollover list of servers ie different IP pools ,I guess they use additional security questions to verify the new IP, and well my automated login can't really answer that..so it ends up locked out..so inevitably if I haven't logged for a while, when I do so manually it is inevitable locked out.. oh...and then there was the weekend, (when their is limited or no phone service) their mail server failed to generate any of the temp passwords to my mail acct.. The supervisor was very helpful in giving me some workarounds.. I can't say that about my latest CU I joined...they suck..all the way around..

Funny, mclc.
A few years ago, I used my Platinum to pay for something at the Post Office.. The girl helping me pretended to stamp my forearm with her "SPOILED" stamper... |

Hi, K..
I take it back, NASA FCU DOES SUCK!. I just realized that I deactivated downloads from NASA to Quicken on 12/1/2009 because transactions were not being downloaded, even though NASA and Quicken would report that downloads were successful.. I usually put an "x" before account names that are not downloaded automatically, forgot to do that for the checking, and the NASA share account that DOES have an "x" is way below the first screen page in my Quicken account... |
|
On the subject of not downloading transactions, but pretending that everything is hunky-dory..
ONE of my 3 Citi Business cards does that.. So does ONE of my 2 Chase Business cards.. Those are Direct Connect, though, not Express Web Connect... |
|
I blame Quicken! as always! and I'm not even sure why.

Glad to see the number's back up and working (I just called them). I can fully understand why you got a bit concerned, BW. Thanks for alerting us...always a good thing...
