Got a question... What is a good way to generate Lending Tree mortgage leads? Thanks for any answer or 2. Second question of mine... I got an offer in the mail today for a guaranteed $800.00 credit limit, and the envelope said Platinum Visa Card so it peeked my interest.. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably can answer it..

I think it is First National Bank of Marin. I have read here that they are a super big no no ccc...

That would explain not revealing the name of any of the documents except for a tiny portion on the disclosure sheet. :o)..

LOL,.
I remember when having a car phone meant you were successful.. Buwahahaha... |

Why not pass this one up Rocket..
There are much better cards out there.. :).. |

That offer sucks...they are crazy...Try to get a better offer from another card...

I had a FNBM card back in '99 and they sucked! If you send a payment in larger than $100-they hold your check for 10-15 days to make sure it "clears". They give you a tiny credit limit and then run it up with their fees and "security deposits". So, if you like to charge a lot and then pay it off that same month-they make it virtually impossible because they put a hold on the account for half the billing cycle. Not to mention you won't have any available credit left after they max it for you...
|
|
Add Cross Country bank to that list. Any payment 300 dollars or more and they hold it for 10 business days. I've never heard anything good about FNBM, so I agree it's trash and should be avoided...

While everything you say here is true, the "holds" they place on your acct will not be that way forever.. I think it is after 6 months of no problems, they will stop putting holds on your payments..
Everybody complains about the rotten terms, and they are rotten, but consider the banks side. They are giving credit to people that others won't. And yes, I did at one time have one of their cards. After 11 months, they sent me an unsecured MC... |
|
This is true, but, considering that there are other banks that will extend credit to the same type of people that FNBM caters to, with much better terms-I would suggest going elsewhere. I know my credit history is poor-I accept it and realize I will have to pay higher interest and have lower credit limits than others. But, FNBM made me feel like I was so low they couldn't even trust a check from me...
|
|
I don't think it was you personally they didn't trust as much as it is the type of people they cater to...

I'm just saying they treated me fairly, IMO, when I first got their card. I couldn't even get a Cap1 secured card when I first started my cleanup... |
|
I just applied for a Cap One Sec but I do not think I'll be approved for it- they 1st pulled EX which is my good report but then they pulled EQ, too. I just started working on EQ two months ago so there's still A LOT that needs to be done..
As for FNBM, they are are an option that should be looked at when searching for a subprime secured credit card. I have to admit I was happy at first with them but became furious after I sent in a payment of $300 and then the next week I was at the gas station and filled up my tank. Went inside, the charge was declined. I had no cash on me and no other cards. I had to leave my drivers license with the attendant, go home & grab my checkbook, go to the bank and withdraw cash, and then drive the 30 minutes BACK to this gas station to pay for the gas I'd pumped.. At that point, I think I'd had the account open maybe 3-4 months. I closed the account that day. I probably should have kept it open to show a positive open revolving acct but I couldn't see justify paying them the $6 or $7 a month they charge to use the acct when essentially, I could get better use out of a debit card... |
