Tonight’s Plan = Taxes

My friends and I are going on a little weekend getaway this weekend to a cabin in Wisconsin.  Instead of taking three cars, we are going to borrow my parent’s mini-van, but in order to do so, I have to go pick it up tonight because we are leaving right after work tomorrow.

So tonight I’m going to drive down to my parent’s and pick up the van but while I’m there I’m going to try to score  a free meal and do my taxes.  I finally got the mortgage tax docs from the co-owner of my house and I think I have everything I need.  I changed my withholding last year when I got my new job, so I’m curious to see what happens tax-wise.  Here’s hoping I don’t have to pay in and here’s hoping even more that I get something back!

If I do get anything back, I’m thinking most of it will go into the wedding fund.  That’s where pretty much everything is going these days.  

As for my trip this weekend, I’m still not sure what it’s going to cost.  I’m not the one planning it, so I hardly know anything about where we’re going.  I think my friend found this rental cabin on Craigslist.  There are 8 of us going and so far we’ve each had to pay $25 towards it.  I’ve been assigned to bring bread and bacon, so food costs shouldn’t be too bad, though I think we are planning on eating out at least once.  I’ll let you know how it goes.
