Sales:  $247.83

Shipping Credit:  $154.62

Inventory Costs:  $117.08

Amazon Commission:  $88.55

Shipping Costs: $95.37

Amazon Marketplace Membership:  $39.99 (Recurring monthly fee)

Total Profit: $16.46

Best Sale of the Month was:  Sorry, I don’t have the data in front of me at the moment.  It wasn’t anything special, I can tell you that.

Happy to make a profit, even if it’s tiny!  Hopefully May is a much better month for the books.

Where do you get all these books to sell? Why did you choose to tell on Amazon.com? Seems like a pretty big monthly fee when half.com is free.

I buy books at used bookstores, thrift shops and estate sales. I actually started out selling on half.com, but the traffic there is peanuts compared to Amazon’s. I like to turnover my books as quick as I can, so I’m willing to pay the monthly fee and their higher commissions.

Interesting. Seems like a lot of work for only $16 for the month.

Haha! Agreed!
But you just never know…(see January’s results when I made over $550.) For May, I’m on track to do about $150 in profit…which isn’t that great but it sure beats $16.
