Got a question, hope someone can answer... Pre paid virtual visa or Discover Card for UK residents? Hoping for any answer. Another quick question... Just recently came out of BK and was wondering on some ideas of cleaning the reports up.. |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could give you help..

The BK was discharged in December. Almost all accounts have updated to IIB, except maybe 1, they were pretty quick..
I am going to to try and dispute the actually BK public record until down the road. But I would like to clean off alot of the old accounts... |
That's a good idea. I did the same thing. removed all negs and IIB's and the last thing I disputed was the BK. I had EQ remove it and TU stock, never tried with EX though I will soon...

How'd you get it removed from EQ? Mines from 2002, and seems to be stuck like glue no matter how I dispute. None of my accounts are no longer showing..
When they look up bankruptcy's they generally look at Pacer to verify it.. I can't get my court to give me the "Letter" that every one else seems to get that they don't report to the Cra's... |
My BK was discharged 06/09 and I did a blanket dispute with "not mine" for all my baddies and had pretty good success. Unfortunately, the "not mine" did nothing for the BK or a Citi judgement that I have..
Exp removed 2 out of 9 baddies (Exp sucks!. ). TU removed 6 out of 11 baddies. EQ removed 6 out of 9 baddies. Not bad for the first wave of disputes. I'm still trying to figure out a plan for the second wave. I am thinking of Jack Attack on a couple of them. We'll see. I'll keep on reading to see if I can find a good second wave strategy... |
How old were your baddies in the bk?.
Several of mine are really fresh and I doubt I will get them to drop this early. But I expect once I get my other addresses removed down the road I can get them off... |
My oldest TL was opened in 2000 with the newest opened in 2006. I don't know what some of the more seasoned members would say, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. You really have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain! Good luck!..

Removing BK is not any easier or harder then anything else. It took me numerous letters, 4-5 until it came off one time. No magic words just dispute whatever is wrong with it. TU was suppose to be one of the easiest because everyone else had luck with it, for me no luck at all. But once or twice a year I dispute them hoping they fall off before the 10 year mark..

I've sent about 6 so far. I'm going to try the "Courts have not responded to my request for validation letter" later this month and see what happens..
I've tried everything to get this sucker off... |
I dont plan on working on my bks until a little later this year but it would be nice to have one report clean from it...
Yes just one CRA being clean helps alot because that way you can establish decent credit limits and relationships while you work on the other two which can take years or the whole 10 years before it falls off. I wasn't about to wait around 10 years before I was treated like a normal person. MY EQ went from 703 to 803 when I removed the BK, that's no joke nor does any EQ lender ever refuse me credit. Just keep trying guys, good luck...

EX will remove addresses...you just have to be persistant. I've found that it's much easier to get them removed via telephone than via online dispute. Each time I've called in, the rep removed the address without question and then said "that address was tied to xxx tradeline. Make sure to update them so that this address doesn't reapppear the next time they report."..
Sorry for the newbie question, but what is the purpose of deleting old addresses? Is it so that the TL tied to that account be disputed more easily as "not mine"? Thanks...
I am moving in a few month, when I do that I am going to get the addresses removed and then start to get aggressive...
A few reasons. One is that addresses are tied to accounts. A second purpose is that it prevents CA's from pulling your report and then mailing a letter/trying to serve you at an old address and then attempting to either deny you your DV rights or get a default judgement when you don't show up in court..

How recent is recently? You want to give your reports 60 days or so for them to show every and all updates as a result of the BK. But like you said meanwhile you can start on cleaning out the misc names, addresses or anything else that was not related to the BK. Old lates, collections etc... no time is a bad time for credit repair...
