ON the day I turn 18, can I get a Discover Card?

Quick question... ON the day I turn 18, can I get a Discover Card? Looking forward for any answer. My 2nd question... So I gave in and applied for a JCP card. I have been shopping there a LOT lately. But I did it online.

BOK BOK..

Got approved for a $200 limit. Nice start, but .... I want more..

Is there a "magic number" for them or should I wait until I get the card in the mail and call the number on the back? Or take the card into the store when I receive it and ask for more credit limit?.

I had a JCP card for YEARS that I paid off like 8 years ago and closed. I remember having a pretty high limit at some point. I don't know what it was though, it's not on my credit reports anymore!..

I got my new JCP card a few days ago and while I was registering it online I saw the luv button. Figured it was too soon to use it, though..

I, too, had a JCP card many years ago. It started at $300 or so but as I recall I wound up with a nice CL. Can't remember any of the details, however..

Is JCP good about giving CLIs?..

I think that's GEMB, which is usually every 4 months for an increase, not 3..

Some people report your "every 4 months" increase available doesn't start until after your first 6 months, though. So you'd get an increase at 6 months, and then every 4 months could hit the luv button for a hard free CLI...

0	Correct it's every four months, not three, Ge money bank does auto limit increases, if you use the card, make on time payments... I got a $400 limit 3 months ago, I charged about $250 on it, pif right away, one month to wait and see what happens... answered Mar 04 at 09:51 Gregory 479●4
