BaaaaaaaaHahahahahahahah!!! Now that would be a kodak moment seeing the look on their face when they opened that box and all of those pennies busted through the bottom of the box onto the floor scattering everywhere!!!.

When you do it, make double sure that you send them the invoice of the amount of payment that you are sending them, so they know that they have $50 worth of brass to pick up off the floor..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I love that idea. Its definately original..

Wild Bill, You just might start a whole new revolution..

From now on if anyone absoulty has to pay a CA, pay them in full with un-rolled pennies. It will cost us a fortune in shipping charges, but hey it's worth a piece of mind isnt it?! LOL.

Why didnt I think of this idea? A big high five to you Wild Bill...

The only probem is you wont have canceled check as proof of payment. The CA will probably take the box home and give it to thier kids to roll and shut them up for days...

Yes, I realized that does create a "slight" challenge. Hmmmm... What if ... The box of unrolled pennies was shut and sealed in front of a Notary at the Post Office ... Of course one would want to include a notarized receipt w/in the box as well..

"Where there's a will ... There's a way!".

As for "helping" entertain/pacify the CA's children ... Maybe this is just the relief the cranky CA worker is in dire need of ... ? ... Wouldn't this help them git rid of all that pent-up stress they bring to work, unnecessarily dishing it out to those of us who actually want to work things out!?.

I can see it now ... An overnight, nationwide conversion of "HAPPY & CIVIL" CA workers who love their job & "try" to work with people ... not against them. ;)..

I don't think you will find too many notaries willing to count the pennies to verify that you put 50,000 into the box before they put thier stamp of approval on it..

You might want to just do it in "installments". Send them 10,000 and wait for them to credit your account. Once that is done, send the next box. Has anyone figured out how big a box 50,000 pennies would need?..

It won't work. While pennies ARE legal tender, a person or company only has to accept up to $1.00 in pennies. They can return the rest. I tried paying a traffic ticket once in pennies and they wouldn't take anything more than $1.00. I protested. They cited a case.

I returned the next day with nickels. As such, there's nothing wrong with paying for it in nickels..

Hold on a second there witz ... Don't you go scaring off the revolutionaries now ... ;).

5,000 pennies = $50 ... 50,000 pennies = $500. I suppose if somebody out there were making more then $50 monthly payments to a ca ... They would logically consider substituting pennies for nickels or even dimes, maybe even a nice combination of all three ... like a $1 worth of pennies and a 50/50 mix of dimes & nickels ... ;).

Not a problem ... Suppose you cashed a check in what ever amount and requested payment back in your choice denomination of rolled coins ... Then you took those "bank issue" - "legally rolled" coins and broke them open into your shipping box, whilst the notary duly noted the accuracy and legitimacy of the situation. Also, it wouldn't be that hard to find a notary (who may also be a friend) to verify the accuracy of the rolled coins, and don't forget the great paper trail of information one would have from the bank, notary and post office! ;)..

OOPs...Whats an extra zero between friends? I would never insinuate that you over pay the CA..

Since it appears you wont get away with the pennies, I would suggest using dimes over nickels. You will use 1/2 the number of pieces, but they are much smaller and harder to pickup. It will also cost you much less on shipping..

Being that it is to a CA, they will probably take the box to one of those Coinstar machines and dump the lot in....and only credit your account the amount that they receive after the machines commission...

Lbrown59,.

Perhaps this one?.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,.

And sorry I could not travel both.

And be one traveler, long I stood.

And looked down one as far as I could.

To where it bent in the undergrowth;.

Then took the other, as just as fair,.

And having perhaps the better claim,.

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;.

Though as for that the passing there.

Had worn them really about the same,.

And both that morning equally lay.

In leaves no step had trodden black..

Oh, I kept the first for another day!.

Yes knowing how way leads on to way,.

I doubted if I should ever come back..

I shall be telling this with a sigh.

Somewhere ages and ages hence:.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I.

I took the one less traveled by,.

And that has made all the difference..

;)..

Most banks you can order change, depending on the bank some shrinkwrap into different packages..

Make sure you have free checking cause the bank charges can get expensive. Some banks are free checking ( up to x per month ) So be sure to read the fine print first..

Would really suck to pay $2.00 a check heh..
