Question I have... Lending Tree mortgage consultant " need to increase number of clients "? Hoping for any response. Another question on my mind: Hey gang, just to update you on my NCO problem, they have notified me that they have deleted my account as of 1/17. They are sending me a confirmation fax. They were unable to validate and were cited with 29 different violations of the FDCPA in my dispute letter, so they deleted. NO MORE HARASSING CALLS!!! One more question though, how do I get the OC, MBNA to delete there entry from the CRA's. |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably know..

I got them to delete a 23,000 bill that was under my name from MBNA. I had kept a close track of all there violations, filed complaints with the BBB, AG, FTCall of them. I sent a C & D letter to which they ignored for a month, I documented all calls made after there receipt of the C & D, then I sent out a validation letter, to which they never replied, sent another validation letter, this time threatening a law suit. I kept in close touch with the BBB, and all the orgnaizations I contacted. I finally called today and they told me it was deleted, and they are faxing me the letter to send to the CRA's regarding this issue. You really gotta stay on top of them and document every call and everything.
THe problem I have now is getting MBNA to delete it off my report, they no longer own the debt, and they told me they are done with it. THey said as soon as I get the deletion letter from NCO, to send it to them and they will delete it... |

This is what you do:.
Document EVERYTHING, especially your validation attempts. Write the credit bureaus demanding deletion due to the CA's failure to validate a debt and stating it's against the law to record invalidated debts.. Should come off. After the CRA see your proof that puts them at liabilty if they don't delete becuase they are recording false information knowingly.. Worked for me with NCO. They are a tolietbowl of a company. They can't validate anything... |

I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but I should warn you. NCO played a very SNEAKY game with me. I asked them to validate account number 234 (I'm making that number up, of course). They "responded" to my validation request telling me that they had deleted account number 235 from their system, and that they would no longer be handling it. Basically, I realized later that they have this little strategy of derailing your stream of validations, etc.... In other words: I asked them to validate one account, and they sent me records pertaining to an account that I assume they just made up.
I HOPE the fax does arrive, dude, but watch out. I wish you the best of luck, and may those slimy $%#@&ers all rot in hell... |

I am in the middle of an increasingly bitter p__ssing contest with NCO (a.k.a. NCO Group, NCO Portfolio Funding, NCO Financial Systems, etc...) for around a year now. They seem to change account numbers, amounts, and dates at will. When they see validations being focused on a particular account, they try to confuse you, and if that doesn't work, they delete the account, renumber it, re-age it, or whatever they need to do at that moment. The cycle keeps repeating. As for my strategy: Be more stubborn than they are.
Keep me posted on your progress. I'll do the same... |

They had an old, past SOL account of mine. After I sent an SOL letter, they stopped communications with me..
Two months later another CA sent me a demand for payment on the account...added 60% to the balance. I sent them a similar SOL and and a copy of the letter I sent to NCO [ just to let them know NCO sold them something they could not collect on...]. It's been a couple months and no contact... |

Maybe I am missing something here, but if you dispute account number 234, and NCO returns a letter regarding account 235, then they are basically ignoring the first account. At that point, why couldn't you take them to court on a failure to validate the original account?.
I just received a similar letter from them, and on the CR, it was listed as an NCO 3333xxxx, then when their letter came through it actually listed a creditors name and their account numbers.. I guess when TU finishes their investigation, then I will make a decision on my next step.. |

Ok everybody, it is official, received the fax from NCO today regarding my deletion, they broke numerous FDCPA laws. All I wanted was the deletion and got it, y'all think I should go ahead and sue them now or just walk away????? I threatened them with a 50,000 federal case to be tried here in NY!!!(where my sister is a well respected lawyer, LOL!!!!) SHould I really give it to them now or what????..
