Got a question... Just got e-mail from a MR Patrick Mulcahy Discover Card/Microsoft? Many thanks for any response. Another question on my mind: Too much available credit or high utilization of the credit you have?.

I have 1 report with high (29%ish) utilization and another with close to 0% utilization, which is why I ask...

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could answer your Discover Card question..

Well, UMB can be many things, but I'm guessing you're asking about the name of the bank, in which case I believe the initials don't "stand for" anything beyond the names of the original founding partners, but I could be wrong...

Be sure to add this to the credit pulls db! from reading several posts, it seems that they are not a fan of 'excessive number of bank accts'.. whatever that means. how many do you have? I wonder if they look at all revolving credit or just the bank cards (thus forgetting store cards)..

I've got a fair number of really small starter lines, which... I'm going to be closing. My scores haven't moved in months (despite new accounts, INQ's, UTI, etc) so I'm 'thikning that some of the starter line like HSBC, CreditOne, and Hooters are in fact keeping me in that special credit purgatory....

We'll see... I've got some decent lines and don't need the small ones anymore...

What utility do you find in having 13 biz accts?.

You don't need any fee harvester or dead end low limits at this point, but not sure closing accts. will change much with respect to new apps., the passage of time, increased income, etc. may help more, YMMV...
