My first question is Is 1.63% a good rate to process Visa and Discover Card transactions as a merchant? Thanks for any response. Another question... Is there anywhere to find a simulator where you can actually punch in some tradelines and get a score estimation?.

I use CCT right now but after the deletions of 2 Charge Offs, 2 collections, 1 judgement, a foreclosure (1st & 2nd mtgs) and a repo, the scores have changed up by only 4 points on EQ. I know they are Fakos. But no major score changes at all?....

I have 5 positive trades. 3 of them are revolving from back in '99 ($18K avg. limit). The other 2 are a paid off bike loan ($12k) and closed mtg from '06 that was sold before the foreclosure. I am down to 1 baddie; a collection from June of this year. My UTL is at 12%.

Any thoughts?..

Ye, however you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else here to confirm my answer as I am not completely sure. Better yet, why don't you ask the Discover Card guys because they can answer your Discover Card question better...

I'm not looking for exact scores here. I'm just curious to see what another "scoring system" might say. Can you tell me where to find any of them?..

CK used to be very close to myFICO's "real" TransUnion FICO score for me..

Lately it's off about 10-20 points, still not too bad...

Your FICO scores are.

Estimated to be between: 635-685.

I just pulled a MyFico.com report and TU is 666..

Pretty good little tool...

Yes, the estimator gives a very wide range (such.

As 50 FICO points.) That's to keep from giving.

The algorithm away. But you can still get some.

Information that's useful..

This works for me:.

1. Run the numbers for my present situation,.

Write this down..

2. Run the numbers for the future I want, and.

Write that down..

3. The predicted improvement is the difference..

Say you move from 615-665 up to 650-700. OK,.

There's a lot of overlap there. But you can also.

Read that as a predicted gain of 35 points..

ER..

I just played with the tool, it's really very close!.

Came up with 625-675.

Actual myfico.com score is 650.

Pretty nifty.

Credit karma and TU daily comes up with 588 fako....

Even if I have lates in the last year, if I add an acct that has 8-10 yrs of hx or more, my scores "simulate" to be between 630-680. If I add an acct that has the 10-15 yrs hx, they simulate 650-700.....

History is OBVIOUSLY a HUGE factor...

Some tools are just annoying. But this one seems to work. Gave my range as 627-647; my actual score is 637..

This works better than some of the more inaccurate simulators and calculators out there...

It's kinda funny that FREE score simulator gives you more accurate FAKO than FAKOs from paid credit monitoring service providers...

Smart consumers who want to track their credit building know that FICO is the way to go. Smarter consumers know that the simulator is usually about right on. Still smarter consumers don't let others harass about how they spend their money...

The only thing off is paying (with Discover card) any attention to FAKO's!.

And in my experience all the estimators are terrible and don't really give you any true insight...
