Got a quick question: International money transfer into Blue Bean Discover Card account in South Africa? Many thanks for any answer. 2nd question I got is.. Without going into great detail, I have a medical bill turned over to a CA. I can pay the bill in full on Jan 1st when my FSA account is loaded..

I'd rather deal with the OC directly but they said while they will certainly take my payments, they cannot pull my file back from the CA. CA has already responded to my DV so.....

1) how can I stall the CA for 3 more weeks until I can pay in full?.

2) if I just make a couple of small payments to the OC until Jan 1st when I PIF, can the CA report me? Again, would rather not deal with the CA if possible..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could assist you..

OP:.

1) DISCONNECT your Phone. get a NEW Number.. Pre-paid they frequently say "I can even put in 123-456-7890 as your SS # if you want, just remember it for then you need to pay them" (Ive done this with TMobile, dont want them to have my REAL Info, so I tell the Rep my Phone number is "614-123-4567" and they put it in.. they gave each other funny looks, but they CAN do it.).

2) NEVER call C.A. from ANY phone but a PAY phone.. and ONLY when YOU are Ready..

3) DONT Respond to ANY Mail. Read it, so you can see what you WANT to do..

As long as it doesnt say anything about Garnishment (Several things must happen first,) SIT TIGHT!!!.

4) Watch your CRs to see wha tit says..

WHEN YOU ARE READY...

1) DV them.

2) Dispute with CRA (This is the "1-2 Punch.

).

3) After the matter is Done OR you work out a PFD....

4) Never make such a Mistake again..

I have become a PRO at doing Just that. Havent had to in.. some time..

But I remember pulling my hair out about it well...

Disregard everything that JosephC said. Disputing a medical debt with a CA can cause you more problems than it solves. Go to the medical forum and read about Whychat's HIPAA process before you do anything...

Agreed with going to the medical forum, but the OP already stated they DV'ed the CA. Hopefully it won't matter too much... I've never used his HIPAA process before, so I'm not sure..

RacerX70 dont worry about what jtoast said. Try my -Tried- and -True- Method of "This is how I can postpone something until I CAN Deal with it" and Best of Luck...

OP, do what jtoast suggested. Medical Forum and WhyChats HIPPA process is the way to go with a medical collection. It is an entirely different beast than a regular collection.Good Luck!..

Wait a minute... I said to post in the medical forum first!!!! Why don't I get any praise???.

No pat on the back for me??? j/k.

I know why people might have missed my small post...... a rather large, completely insane post was placed directly after mine..

But I still agree with jtoast (or myself). Stick with WhyChat and his HIPAA method. Works wonders..

I praise you Gudziel..

But I think the OP got the message..

If we all keep mentioning certain posts, it will only cause more problems, and confuse the OP...

Something a LOT of people forget is that very few medical providers handle their own billing, even on current treatment. In a number of cases, the receivables go to a third-party for processing. Only after the patient decides not to pay for care would it usually migrate to a CRA report....

Be wary of pissing off your doctor.....

-1 and -2.

Both Gudziel and jtoast are Incorrect..

OP I think I have given you the best way to "Stall for three weeks." That was yoru Question, isnt it?.

Please apply my advice to the HIPPA process, as this is why I never go to a Hospital..

Shame on the Negative Nancies involved..

Jack1212 I helped the OP...

Please don't post in this thread any longer unless you have relevant information regarding a MEDICAL COLLECTION, and how to PROPERLY handle it.

Joseph C. There are certain ways in which to handle it, that are more beneficial to the OP..

Thank you...
