My first question is How much is your Lending Tree mortgage payment ? Hoping for any response. Another quick question... Well they screwed me. I called and asked them yesterday, Yesterday was day 33, They Validated it today on day 34. As of yesterday it was not validated. Pulled my CR today and it is showing validated.. |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably could help you..

Replace everytime I said validate with "verify". I pulled my report today and it is verified. ( Mis-use of words :) ).
Thanks. Chris.. |

As you know equifax gets an extra 5 days if you mailed in your dispute.
So their reps and managers say. "we will not violate the FCRA and it says we get an extra 5 days".. |
|
So because I mis-used some words that are VERY similiar in nature. Your gonna bust my a$$ and be a dick? I asked for help. Not your lecture..
From Dictionary.com. Validate ( P ) Pronunciation Key (vl-dt). Tr.v. validated, validating, validates. To declare or make legally valid.. To mark with an indication of official sanction.. To establish the soundness of; corroborate. [verify ( P ) Pronunciation Key (vr-f). Tr.v. verified, verifying, verifies. To prove the truth of by presentation of evidence or testimony; substantiate.. To determine or test the truth or accuracy of, as by comparison, investigation, or reference: experiments that verified the hypothesis. See Synonyms at confirm.. Law.. To affirm formally or under oath.. To append a verification to (a pleading); conclude with a verification. Call it what you want. Those two words are basically the same. I read the top threads, Several times. I am asking a specific question. If you can't help. Don't junk up my thread with your bullshit.. Thanks and Good day. -Chris.. |
|
I tried to be polite. Did you read what I said. You have no clue what the hell you are doing. I suggested what I did based on your question of what do I send? What do I do? jerk..
|
|
One more thing you should be aware of since you think you know so much, validate and verify in Lending Tree credit repair terms do NOT mean the same thing...
|
|
Polite? Whatever..
Did you even read my specific question? No where in the FAQ, Glossary, or any of the threads I searched through did anybody explain or hint at other than "sent a letter" for my situation.. This obviously isn't something that happens all the time. If you would like to direct me where it says in the top few threads what to do when the CRA. VERIFIES after the allowed thirty day period. I will apologize and eat crow.. -Chris.. |
|
They are different. Do Not Get on LKH for correcting your mistake. Happy New Year..

Chris,.
First of all you had every chance in the world of creating a violation with the CRA by just waiting until the full 35 days was up. Your calling them on day 33 ALERTED them so they varified on day 34.. YOU SHOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT.. People have been trying to help you by suggesting you get a better handle on what you're doing. I concur.. Your next step is to go immediatey to procedures.. There's an extraordinary difference between validation and verification.. Welcome to the board.. :).. |

Although it does get tiring listening to the bickering around here lately, I will say this:.
Going off half cocked on LKH won't get you a lot of help around here. Differing opinions are encouraged, but let's try to remain civil in our discussions. There is a wealth of experience and knowledge here, but pissing off those that are in the position to provide valuable help to you isn't the right approach.. There is quite a difference between verification and validation, even though in the "real" world the words mean similar things.. The process of validation applies to collection agencies, lawyers, or anyone else who is attempting to collect money from you (with the exception of original creditors in most cases). Before they can collect, they must VALIDATE that the account is yours by providing you with absolute proof that the debt belongs to you and is owing.. VERIFICATION is the process credit bureaus use to verify that the information they are reporting is 100% accurate. LKH is right, in credit terms, the two words do mean very different things, and misusing them or when to use them can hurt your Lending Tree credit repair efforts. I think LKH just wanted to make sure that you were standing on solid ground before making a mistake that could cost you dearly (like calling the credit bureau before the 35 day expiration of your investigation :) ), and when he saw you using the terms interchangeably it threw up a red flag.. As far as your question goes, you probably don't have much of a leg to stand on at this point. I would re-dispute and go through the process again. Hopefully it will drop off due to no response from the creditor... |

Thanks for your reply Butch..
LKH:. I apologize for being less than cordial with you.. -Chris.. |
