My 1st question is: How much is a VISA/Discover Card cost? Thanks in advance for any answer. Second question of mine... I contacted Credit One today and informed the guy I was not interested in the card. I noticed it had reported on my credit report. He told me I was responsible for the balance. "What balance?".

I was like..

Oh yes ma'am, I'm sorry ma'am I see here where you never actually used the card, but there is a balance. Uh seriously, I know this might be hard for you to understand but 1. I never applied for this card, you morons just sent it to me. 2. I don't want this card.

This will help rebuild your credit. I was like.. Seriously man... I have three new cards.. all without annual fees and pretty good aprs for my credit score.

Now I am worried that these jerks are going to try to charge me $5.75 mthly fee before they decide to actually close my account. wth should I do? I have no clue if this is going to report correctly...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an good answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can answer it..

Years ago I had a Cap1 $99/500 card, right as I turned 18. I charged it up and paid minimum payments, naturally. I mean, why wouldn't i?.

Anyway...

Open the mail one day and it's a 2nd Cap 1 "Platinum" card. I never applied. I never requested it. Another $500 limit. Now, of course, who was I to not activate it? (I was young, I digress).

Anyway, seemed like they treated it like giving me an auto CLI, only this way, it's an auto CLI that came with a 2nd AF.

(Both cards C/Od in 2003-4 and at the end of this year I will finally be rid of them).

I completely agree..

It irritates me when ppl say things like this..

Would you have felt better if John Smith from Nebraska read you the exact same script?.

Credit One is based in Nevada not India..

Its ppl right here (in the USA) that made the policy, offered the sh*tty credit product and most likely wrote the script for other ppl (in the USA) that Ahmed was reading to you.

Your frustrations are misdirected my friend...

I don't think they meant anything personal towards "ahmed from India" other than sometimes it's hard to understand and if you have an issue that falls outside of their standard script response you get nowhere a lot of the times... although that happens with "billybob from kentucky" too..

Yes they did. The card insert says.. "You have been approved". I thought it was a fake plastic card they usually send people with their pre-authorized letters. I never applied for that crap. They did the very same thing to my BF as well...

I called Credit One again today just to make sure my request had been processed. I asked for a letter to be sent to me about the closure and told the guy I wanted this item off my credit report. I don't feel this is an item that should be reported since I didn't apply for this card. He was nice about it. Apologized, told me yes sometimes they extend credit offers post-bk. I told him thanks but I am really not interested.

It has a measly $200 cl. My Hooters $600 cl, no AF. My Cap 1 $500cl, no AF and I just got my HSBC platinum with $750 small AF. He said well I can't offer you any of those.

The guy I talked to today was MUCH NICER than the guy last night. The man last night was very rude on the phone, trying to convince me their card was the best card for someone with a bankruptcy. Whatever.
