Question I have... How does the Lending Tree mortgage forclosure process work? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: Is it absolutely necessary to include a copy of my driver's licence for id purposes when disputing by mail? My drivers licence has my old address on it...the one I recently had removed from my credit bureau reports, so it wouldn't be wise to send that it. The utility bills are in wife's name. Can I just send a copy of my ss card and a credit card bill? Will that be enough to verify my identification? I'm looking to dispute equifax..

Thanks.

Luke..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an decent answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably could give you help..

Equifax told me that a CDL is not required, but it helps. Not everyone with credit has a license..

According to the reps you need 2 proof of address and something with your SS# on it...

I have a special little trick I use that at least saves paper and a bit on copy costs. I place the DL and the SS one above the other in the upper left hand quadrant of an 8 by 11 sheet of paper placed on the copier and then set the copier for a 200% blowup and the lightest possible contrast..

By doing that they come out just exactly centered on the copies and plenty big enough to be plainly visible. I save a bit on copy costs that way and I also save a bit on postage costs at times too...

NO!.

Have your bank notarize your dispute if necessary. They check your DL in the process and declare that you ARE who you say you are..

That's a pretty good idea Butch and while I'm not saying that it won't work I do tend to have my doubts. Here is why..

Notaries are not responsible for the content of anything they notarize which means that you could type up a statement swearing that you live in Alaska when in truth you live in Florida and have it notarized in Alaska and the notary can even be well aware that the statement is a total lie and notarize it and still has done nothing wrong..

All that their signature and seal does is testify that they know that you are who you say you are and are the person who signed the document and that they have been provided with proof of those two facts...

Don't send the license copy if you don't want to and see what happens....

If they say you must have it....

Tell them you are in a "VAN-POOL" you don't have to drive anywhere...so you don't need a license!!!.

ASK THEM IF THEY CAN PROVE THAT YOU ARE NOT WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE?!?!?!..
