First question I got is How do student loans affect a Lending Tree mortgage applicaton? Looking forward for any comment. Another question... Called HH Bank this morning to ask for a CLI. I was told that I was eligible for a $200 increase, but because of the "program" that has to be run, I'd be charged a $30 fee if I was approved for the increase and accepted it..

Well, I need to boost my credit line (with the increase it's still only $850) so I said ok. I checked my statement this evening and the increase has taken, but no fee yet..

Anyone else have similar experience?..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably could help you..

Oh my..

I have never heard of this, but I can see how if you had to pay for the card in the first place, they would think you needed to pay for a CLI too. Sucks though...

I would NOT pay $30.00 for a $30,000 increase!!!.

An annual fee is different...THAT IS LOGICAL IN MANY CASES...BUT A LIMIT INCREASE FEE IS A.

100% RIP-OFF!!!.

GO AHEAD AND CONTINUE THE FLAMES...SINCE I'M ALWAYS WRONG!!!..

Hey George, what is all the fuss about?. This is common practice among sub-prime banks. Anyone recovering from a BK or other serious derogs has been paying for CLI fees and/or other fees (maint. fee, monthly fee, annual fee, no grace period) to build their credit, hopefully to join the ranks of super-prime customers such as yourself...

I SAID AN ANNUAL FEE IS ONE THING...but a fee to increase the limit is.

100% RIP-OFF..

There are a lot of "SUB-PRIMERS" that DON'T pay a fee for a limit increase..

If your company charges one...LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT CARD....

I'M NOT BASHING THE "SUB-PRIMERS"...I'M BASHING THE NEED FOR A FEE FOR A LIMIT INCREASE!!!..

Yes George we are aware of your opinion. However some people have no choice , they cannot pick and choose their credit cards..

They cannot vent over places like MBNA not raising their 30,000 line -.

They have to build their credit to the point where they can get cards that dont charge fees for increases...

Eric, if you don't like George, why not just put him on ignore. Your constant patronizing of him sucks. George, come to the new board...

However George if you feel that I patronize you,.

Feel free to put me on ignore..

I did leave. I read here, but don't often post. Do you have a problem with that? I really think you should re-read all your recent posts to George and look at from his angle...

No I have no problem with that , if I did I would certainly let you know 'ol buddy. I have a few recent posts to George in two threads, perhaps you have me confused. George is a big boy and can tell me if he thinks I am patronizing him. If so I'll gladly place him on ignore, or vice versa. But I really wouldn't prefer that. Now LKH why dont you just sit back and let the.

Moderators.

Do their job, if something is wrong let them tell me ;-)..

See. now you're patronizing me. I actually wasn't trying to have an argument with you. I seriously only wanted to point out that I, and others, thought you were intentionally patronizing George. That's it. Ok 'ol buddy...
