My question is How do I close a Discover Card credit card? Anyone done this? Hoping for any response. Second question of mine... We closed today at 3. There is no way I can expess how thankful I am to everyone here for their support. I own a home, (that is oddly serviced by chase.) It felt good to walk into my house, and really did not have to leave, (but I did anyway). |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could answer your Discover Card question..

After Target and that Navcheck I am going to stop. I really hope I get that Hooters, I checked and they puled TU I only had 1 Inq there So I am pretty sure I will get it.. Every card DH has he made me an AU, So we do not need any more new accounts.. I am not in a rush to move, I will be staying in this apartment untill may during the weekdays so my DD will not have to change schools... |

BTW Jardes/JBR approval was not instant, say I have to wait. Once everything is in I will add results to the credit pulls data base.. To everyone thank you, I would not have been able to do any of this without the help of this board... |

Here is an update on my app spree,.
JBR- Approved ( I am assuming it is the same limit as Kays). Jardrs- Still pending. Wells Fargo (Ashley Furniture)- approved. Nav Chek- Still pending. Hooters - Still pending. I have not got to target yet, So I have not applied. This is on top of the cards DH made me an AU on.. Nothing has reported yet.. We spent the whole weekend putting up blinds, Put in new washer and dryer and refrigerator. ( All got discounted b/c they had a few dings in them) Switched Electric/water/trash in our name. Furniture will be delivered Wendsday. Telephone will be on tomorrow, TV next week.. This is all like a dream, But I am wide awake... |

I am going to target today and apply. Nav chek still pending. Going to call them this morning.. Then no more pulls for a year... |

I went to target today applied and got approved for 200. I will take it, It was one of my goals when I joined credit boards.. I also called NFCU, Asked what was my statues of my nav chek, turns out they needed more info from me, and comcast was down when they called. I gave them the info over the phone and the rep said I should have an answer today... |

I love pulling up in the driveway of the house knowing it belongs to me. The phone is on, the new living room set is in the living room. Direct tv will be in Tuesday. Next weekend I will be moving beds in. I just love my new home. I have not stayed overnight yet. We did have a bar a Q to bring in the new year...

I am guessing that if you are like me, you'll cry when you walk in the door for your first day LIVING in it and actually absorb the moment. I thought I'd cry when they handed me the keys....nope. It was when we pulled up in the driveway, hubs carried me through the threshold...and set me down inside my new home KNOWING it is ours! I can't even explain how you soak up that moment and realize all the dreams, blood, sweat, and tears finally pay off..

Awwww he carried you over the threshold??? that is soo sweet. You house is a gem, For me it would be perfect, minus the snow..
No tears yet, I often walk around the house and say to myself..... OMG! This house is mines!!!! I plan to start sleep over every weekend. and live in this rental during the week. My DD is in her last year in elementary school, I do not want to transferee her. So I will be here till may when school is out... |

Update.
Got turned down for Nav Chek, This makes me very unhappy, I really wanted it. But I had WAYYYY to may Inq's on EQ. Either way My app spree is over.. No new app for at least 18 months. I am not going to worry about trying to make my NFCU secured card unsecured. I have a good limit on that card, and it reports unsecured. Goal for the next year. Battle with the last CO's I have reporting.. Work on a B*. Pay off Well Faro Account (Next month) Plan on keeping this account, Might buy lamps and PIF I like Ashley stuff.. Pay off Home Depot we have 12 months No %, But I need this down to zero. Light usage then PIF. I hear HHgregg is good and CLI's so I will pay them, and reap the rewards. Same as above for wally world. Might get a discover. Target might stop being so stingy, We will see.. I am pretty sure I have updated the credit pulls database, Just have to add the Nav chek denial... |
