My question is How could I find out about eppic Discover Card about childsupport money? Thanks for any response. My 2nd question... I cannot remember if I posted this already. I am interested in applying to Macys for part-time employment. However, I recently filed for bk7. Will I automatically be rejected by Macys for employment? I ask because I know that they do not extend credit to customers until 4 years after a bk. |

Rlee, You give out a lot of incorrect information, and we get multiple complaints about it every day. I don't know why you feel compelled to answer questions you obviously don't know the answers to. This is not flaming, it is a suggestion...

I worked for Macy's about ten years ago so things may have changed since then, but to my knowledge they never checked my credit. They did require me to have a Macy's card in order to recieve the employee discount but it was optional.. meaning they did not require me to have the card to work there. I did have a Macy's card prior to working there and I think I had to give HR that information in order for me to have my discount and if memory serves me correctly I had to wait a week or so in order for my discount to kick in..
If I remember Dillards doing the same thing.. and like Macy',s Dillards never once checked my credit.. it was up to me to apply for the card and since I was doing a debt management plan with CCCS at the time I coulden't open new credit.. it actually worked out in my favor that way because it caused me not to spend money on things I didn't need.. ( I could still shop there, I just had to pay cash or whatever but I didn't recieve the discount).. |

Its not required to have the card to work for Macys. Also, if you choose to have the card you have 2 options. You can apply just like anyone else would or you can opt to get a pre-paid card. This will give a you ccard with a $50 guideline and you just use it like any other pre-paid card. Pay on it before you use it. The $50 just gives you some leway with trying to figure out discounts etc.....

Not being able to manage money or having financial difficulties in the past has nothing to do with taking out the trash, so to speak.. It would be discriminatory to not hire a janitor because you owe a subsidiary company of theirs money.. I know money people that work at a places where they owe money to... |
