Quick question... How can I use Discover Card. how to check it's validity.? Hoping for any answer. Another question on my mind: There are quite a few inquires on my report that I did not accept/authorize. I have 3 from "oxford coll" on my transunion, all within 20 days of each other? Any idea who this is? Also, I took out a Sallie Mae loan back in 2007 however there are then one inquiry on 12/26/2008 listed as Sallie Mae Private Cre listed as "other collection agencies" as business type and the same on 9/26/2008. I probably have a total of 8 inquires between the 3 bureaus from "collections". Is this disputable if I didnt allow the "collections" to pull my report?..

Do you not owe any money to anybody that might be collecting for old debts not paid???.

Get the addresses and send them a NON PP LETTER..

Just because they aren't reporting as an account on your credit report doesn't mean they can't try to collect on the debts you owe. They're "fishing" to see if you've purchased anything or if you're able to make payments on your other debts to see if they can squeeze some money out of you...

Do you want them to be? Most likely, a collection agency bought a debt you owed to another company that IS reporting on your reports...

Gotchya, so for example, most of these will fall of at the end of this year...should I just stay hush and let them fall or what? Should I take an precautions to prevent it from happening again? What is a freeze of a CRA?..

Right before they're expected to fall off, dispute as obsolete and have them DELETED. Sounds like these debts are past SOL?.

Unfortunately as long as you still owe this debt, they can still pull your reports. They may not be able to report on your credit reports, but they can still try to collect....if they want...

Unfortunately, the only thing on my credit report right now are CA's. There arent any OC on my report that could make this happen? Nothing is past SOL right now. I have 8 neggies on my report, all of which are CA's. Would this still make sense?..

They're due to fall off your reports, but they're still within SOL? What state are you in?..
