First off, How can I pay my credit card bill online if it is Discover Card? Thanks for any comment. Second question of mine... I can't believe Experian!!!! I called them to dispute 2 accounts BOA and Credit One and they told me that since I disputed them in 2005, unless I have new information, they can't reinvestigate. I thought they reinvestigated whenever I disputed. They advised me to call the OCs and get them to delete..

What do you think I should do? They're both supposed to fall off in 2011 but I wanted to see if they would come off sooner...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could assist you..

That's a bit harsh. If they verified in 2005 and the OP does not have any new information, what exactly should they be verifying again?..

A. Experian IS staffed by mentally-challenged primates. There was a 60 minutes special on it just last week..

B. Considering all that can change in 5 years, I think it's perfectly reasonable..

My opinion is moot tho considering my IQ precludes me from working for Experian..

I think my cat exceeds their IQ ceiling as well, but we'll have to app for him to see...

Ignoring the insults; if it was correct when verified in 2005 why would it not be still valid if nothing has changed in the information?..

If there is no new information or incorrect reporting, you may want to try disputing as obsolete through the mail. Don't know the likelihood of this falling off early with EX, but it's worth a try...

Good luck with EXP..

These are the same "people" that I notified about an incorrect address being listed..

Being the rocket scientists they are, they "verified" the address, then sent a.

Copy of my COMPLETE CREDIT REPORT to the very address I disputed, despite.

Having my current address accurately on file..

When I called to complain, they said they would address the problem, then sent.

ANOTHER copy of my entire report to the same wrong address..

You may think I'm insulting them without reason, but my experience with Experian.

Is they really are staffed by mentally-challenged primates..

I hope to whomever you consider holy that your mileage will vary......

I was able to get a bunch of crap that belonged to someone with the same name as mine deleted by calling the main 800 number and asking to speak to someone in the USA. Amazingly, EX has been the kindest to me in terms of deletions so far this year..

OP what did you dispute??..

Why should the OP have to provide new information to get a reinvestigation after 5 years?..

So that they actually have something to investigate, presumably. If they have already looked into the OP's current dispute and verified that the information was accurate, and it hasn't changed in the last 5 years, why should they have to look into the same information over and over again?..

Because they did not really verify in 2005. I am 99999999% sure..

CRA hardly ever check with the creditor...

I recently disputed some obviously incorrect information with EX online. They would not allow me to dispute information that was previously disputed ~5 years ago(even though just about every bit of info has changed). They had my dispute results within 24 hours and this was on a Sunday..

How could they possibly verify information that fast?.

TU did the same thing to me recently, although I think it took them about 4 days which is a *little* more believable, but still.....

Ditto on they verified with...themselves.

This just happened on DH report w/ Eq....they "verified" two late payments for 09, with last activity on the card being 03'.

This is, well...impossible......

DH called, they claimed the the Discover card company reported it...ditto on the two REAL lates in 03'.

O'RLY.

Called the Discover credit card company, uhm NO, we're not reporting lates...Eq checked nothing with us.

Further more...how did they verify lates with us for 03' when I can't even check the history past 24 months??.

So yeah...they verify with themselves.

DH score tanked 80 pts when these lates appeared.

Im pissed..

THEY DON'T CHECK WITH THE "OC".

The "OC" says A...B...C.

The CRA says X...Y...Z..

I would suggest sending in a letter stating there is new information, or you believe it should be removed, lies work sometimes..
