Got a quick question: How can I obtain a financial data of a company called Lending Tree? Thanks in advance for any answer. Second question.. I am wondering how lexington law gets Experian to re-investigate? There letter head may or is of some huge advantage I would imagine. My attempts to get evil experian to re-investigate seem to be failing :(..

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably can answer it..

Oh sure! If you don't believe it just ask them..

LOL.

Their statistics on how many people they have helped is about like the infamous statistics on how many people have died from smoking related disease. Every year it is the exact same number. 425,000 people have died..

In Mexico it is the same 425,000 people die every year there too..

In Canada it is the same 425,000 people die every year there too..

In Poland it is the same 425,000 people die every year there too..

In Russia it is the same. 425,000 people die every year there too...

In July of 2002 I decided to use Lex Law to help with my credit problems. In August I got a letter in the mail that was hand written to Transunion. I opened it and it was a horrible form letter Lex Law sent to TU that they made to look like it came from me. Luckily they used such poor writing that it was returned to my address..

I immediately called them and emailed them I wanted to stop this service. I searched the web and found this website and others to help me conduct this fight myself..

The CSR at Lex Law said it would take 10 to 12 months to get the results I wanted. I am now just past the 6 month mark doing this on my own and I just have a few lates and 1 CA I need to take care of..

I am sure glad I saw that horrible letter they sent out in July...

Yes I think that a person can do a better job himself than these so called Lending Tree credit repair companies..

I was using a company called Clear Credit but they were so slow I decided to go it on my own. They did stupid things like disputing inquiries that were due to come off in a month anyway.

I think that no company can compete with a motivated and informed consumer , unless your file is really complicated..

Good luck.

Thanks Bill.

I did not know that. I did a search on clear credit and my suspicions were confirmed..

BTW their website apologises for any delay as they are moving to a new locationfor the past three months. I sent them another email to make sure my membership is cancelled..

Hi Dog.

Experian is a tough one for me also. I am trying to get two small property tax liens for 100 dollars each removed. I just got my results of my third try at deletion. Items verified 3/03 items remain..

Can I ask what items you are trying to get off? I think tax liens are one of the toughest!.

Good luck.

Well, when I request procedures, even though I put in big bold print this is not a request for a reinvestigation, they reinvestigate anyway!!!! Have you tried that?..

It's painful trying to get them to re-investigate. I've had my best luck with re-investigations by just calling them. I've had 2 deleted that way. But, I've also had some stick. I haven't had any luck on the website or via mail for re-investigations or procedures requests. hmmm~..

I wonder how that could be? In a previous post you noted most everyone has at least 40% success by simple disputes. You mean when you have disputed tradelines you haven't gotten a single deletion?..

I quit trying about 2 to 3 years ago. But no, I never got a single deletion of anything..

Averages are often very misleading. An average like that means that some had no success at all like me, some had 100% success and everybody else falls somewhere inbetween. The majority fall somewhere in the 40 to 50 percent range..

What is even worse, we don't know who compiled the figures and put out the statistic. Could be like the statistic put out by the Center for Disease Control's figures on how many people die of smoking related disease. They had an agenda and still do and they compiled those figures to accomplish the agenda. That is the way it is with a lot of statistics. They often show what the compiler wants them to show..

They compile their statistics or often just their beliefs and foist them off on the gullible public for the sole purpose of furthering some political viewpoint..

Such junk science is usually taken by the public as gospel truth..

Based on what I see on this and other message boards I would almost bet that if one kept track of the number of those reporting fantastic results compared to those who are complaining about their bad results we would soon see that the success ratio is somewhere closer to 10 or 20 percent success than it is even 50 percent success..

I would be very surprised if we can find even 25 people who can honestly report 100% success and I would be equally surprised if the number of complainers would not be well above 500..

Hmm. Well, that stat I was qouting came from you. As far as standard results I believe you may be in a minority. I have NEVER heard anyone say they received NO deletions from disputing with CRAs. I would GUESS close to 80 -90 percent get some, and a significant portion get at least 40-50% of all negitive tradelines deleted. In my case, I have gotten several deleted by dispute and one by good will.

In any event I hope you are having a great weekend!..

And I got it from one of the message boards I frequent as far as I know. Maybe it was on creditnet at some point in time. Maybe it was in some report or other..

I really don't have the foggiest idea who put it out first...

Bbauer.

=====================.

Sorta like the insurance companies claim about correlation between claims and credit, which brings up an interesting question..

If everybodys score remains the same for the next year will claims?.

A- Increase.

B- Decrease.

** OR.

C- Remain the same.

Bad credit makes you drive poorly. Because you are worried about when and how you are going to pay bills, you don't focus on the road. Geeze, I though everybody knew that :)..
