My 1st question is: Have you ever seen a place that takes only Visa not Discover Card, or vice versa? Many thanks for any answer. Second question of mine... Hello all, very glad to have found this board..

I have began trying to repair my credit about three years ago and have made some (although very little) progress..

I am hoping this board can help me make much more. Here is my situation. SEVERAL negs, (13) 6 of which are sallie mae, all of these Sallie mae loans are now current and two are completely paid in full. of the other 7 four are duplicates (2 entries per debt - one from CA and another from Original Creditor) all of these deliquents except 2 are paid or settled. (one is not my account and was opened before I was even 18 years old) the other is a legitmate debt that was written off but I have had zero luck contacting the creditor. 8 positives (3 are Authorized user accounts) some with credit limits above 20,000 and all paid, never late..

My question is bascially am I just screwed and have to wait on a report this bad or is there anything going in my favor since I have actively pursued and paid off my old debts? and also what can I do about the one which was opened before I was 18? is a blanket dispute likely to do anything here? Sallie Mae is probably affecting me the most and they have told me that they cannot/will not remove any of their reporting under any circumstances even though I have caught up all loans without taking a forebeance or deferrment or any such option..

I would just like advice from people who have been here and may have tips for what I can do. I pay ALL my bills I do have on time now and have for over a year but unfortunately it seems like I may have to too little until too late..

Thanks in advance and I look forward to your responses.

Zach..

Good question... I dunno what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could assist you..

Did not go into "rehab" then just got them current, several of them are federal loans which I understand cannot be done this way anyways. I guess it will just be a waiting game for those to go off then .... 2016 here I come lol..
