I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can answer it..

Horrible. I hope you are opting out and allowing them to close keeping your 11% rate in place...

Is 36 citi's new 29.99?.

Wow, you mean it gets better....

Well, then, pour another round, citi is 'bout to throw down!.

Door prize goes to post who guesses the default rate on that 36 standard...

I have a sunoco rewards gas card, high apr but anything citi is a rip off.. but why are you complaining if you PIF then you have nothing to worry about, if you don't then you better worry. on the other hand I hate citi because they are so big, make so much money, but they have to rip off every single customer they have, or had, even if you have been a customer for 30 years your going to get screwed sooner or later.. and we bail out banks.. bah..

Pretty soon people will be hoping for 29.99% instead of 36 or higher..

I do not understand where these companies will be making their money (besides amount merchant pays). 36% is not even reasonable, most will PIF or sockdrawer card. Many with a large balance will just simply default..

What is the bank's (all of them) reasoning for 36% when prime is 3 1/4?..

Mine got jacked to 29.99.

Kinda ignored it till now since I had other options. However it's my highest CL at 9,000.00.

Any options for getting this lower? Conversion to another card?..

Yes, it is PIF as I said, so no reason to close it..

I guess 29.99 is the old 36%...

Not to get off track - but I received a letter that Citi was raising my 11.5% to 29.99% a couple of months ago - supposed to be effective in December. Well as of today my account is still showing 11.5% - if I make it to Feb 1 without them catching on and making the update am I in the clear?..

Not on future balances, they can still change the rate going forward if you carry...
