My 1st question is: Has anyone ever used lending tree for a loan? Hoping for any answer. Another quick question... Disputed an unpaid judgement with EXP as "Personal Injury Protection portion of my auto insurance was reponsible for this." It took EXP the entire 30 days to investigate and it's now reporting as "Satisfied"..

How should I dispute this in the next round?..

Looking at your post again, you inadvertently admitted that this is yours, or at least that the accusation is against the correct consumer..

I don't know if the CRA will notice if you decide to dispute it as 'not mine' in the future..

This is the same frustration many consumers experience with medical claims-when the insurance does not pay, it falls in the lap of the consumer..

Have you contacted whomever has the judgment against you?.

Have you gotten a copy of the court filing of the judgment?..

Duh.....

As you should already know, the CRA does not care whose responsibility it is, as long as when they get info from a furnisher, they match that information with the intended consumer's file (in some cases even that does not apply, lol). That is what I meant. Comprehende, senor?.

Do you intend to be a pain in the (_|_)??? If not, I am sorry. If so, even sorrier..

Nevermind... Never thought I would use ignore.....

I gave the PIP explanation because TU had removed the judgement when I used this explanation (I guess they couldn't verifiy one way or another), so I figured EQU & EXP may do the same..

In 97 I had a car accident (I hit a tree) and had to have an MRI. The claim to my insurance co. was denied because my PIP (personal injury protection) was exhausted..

Even if the info gets deleted from my file, I know the judgement isn't going to go away, so I am planning on paying it. I'll be getting some extra $ in two weeks, so I will do it then and get it marked as "satisfied" for real. But I'll never stop disputing :).

Thanks for asking..

The perverted benefit of disputing a judgment compared to an actual credit line is that you do not risk waking up a sleeping giant ie the CRA will contact the courthouse for verification and not the creditor. I doubt that the courthouse will contact the holder of the judgment when they receive they dispute-they could care less, plus they're way too busy (or lazy) :O).

But, they CRA may contact the judgment holder directly to verify the judgment...I wonder how often that happens? Anyone know?.

Did not mean to hijack your thread. Will ask this in a separate thread...

I had the same thing happen to me. I was in the process of applying for a mortgage. I had judgement that I hadn't paid, but it showed satisfied. I wanted to dispute, but it could have come back not satisfied. So I left it alone. Since my only concern was a mortgage, I was told that the bank only wanted to see that it was satisfied. I got the loan, and the judgement is due to drop off in june 2003...
