I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably can help you..

I wish my DCU card was consumer friendly. They haven't given me a CLI in the entire four years I've had the card. I'm not sure how I still only qualify for a $2000 limit when that is what I qualified for when I made half as much, but I'm not willing to waste an inquiry to get another $500 from them. People joke about the amex full rectal but nothing is quite like the screening I got when I asked for my last DCU CLI...

I had 5K with them forever. I asked last summer for a CLI to 15K and after faxing paystubs got the 15K. I should have asked for 25K LOL..

Hey Hege - a little off topic, but does Nevada Federal CU issue their own cards, or do they partner with someone?..

They issue their own cards. the card is not too special. I only got mine a couple years ago although I've been with them for almost 9 years. I asked for 25K and got 15K. I've never asked for a CLI..

The APR is based ONLY on your FICO. IIRC the best APR (8 point something) requires a 740 or 760 and higher...

Yeah, the card didn't look like anything special - I was just looking for a local CU to grab a card from to further diversify myself, and the rate wouldn't be too bad (I'd probably fall into their prime + 11% bracket). Was looking at NV Federal CU, Silver State Schools CU, or Clark County CU, but my understanding is that the latter 2 don't issue their own cards, which I'm guessing would make them more susceptible to AA/CLD/RJ at some point down the line. My DD has a teen savings/checking account at NV Federal, so they were kind of on the top of the list, even though they are an EX puller as far as I have been able to tell...

Clark county CU is easy to join, (via KNPR) and when I talked to them last they do claim to issue their own cards, but max limit is 25K IIRC.

Silver state is about to go under and IIRC it uses infibank to issue their cards which is not a good company to deal with IMHO..
