Question I have... Find refinance for second Lending Tree mortgage? Hoping for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... Butch,.

I have a CA that is collecting on a Med Bill. I have sent 2 Valid Letters. They have verified with TU and EXP during the Validation period. They also sent a collection letter during this and added my wifes name to the account..

Could you advise on what to do next?.

They just sent me a copy of an old statement (without my wifes name).

Also do you have a good letter to send to the Orig Creditor (MD)?.

Thanks for any help you can give. :).

I was just curious, since a OC may be responsible for violations of the CA working on their behalf, has anyone ever sent a notice to a Doctor's office notifing of this fact?.

Could this be a way to get a Medical Bill CA to conform to the FDCPA or offer a settlement?.

I have. And you're damn right it will..

Medical Providers are especially concerned about being sued. Since they are responsible for the CA these are relatively easily handled. At least that's been my experience..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably could give you an answer..

Well, I'm not Butch, but I'll see what advice I can give you..

First, a piece of crucial info please... Did you send the validation letter during the 30 day period that is given to you under the law when a creditor FIRST contacts you, or did you send the validation letter after you found the listing on the report? You failed to clarify that in your post and that will make all the difference when determining violations..

Also, a word of advice. The best way to get a lot of advice on this board is to address the group. A lot of people may not respond because you addressed the post to Butch. Sometimes, it can be beneficial to call out one person who you know has been through that situation, but sometimes if they don't happen to visit the board that week, you might miss out on a lot of great responses. :o).

The question you asked is pretty general and know there are a ton in the group who would be willing to give advice. (This is not to say that Butch's advice isn't stellar, it's just that he might not be around.)..

Thanks Butch....

It just kind of irritated me...I take the time out to put my .02 cents in, only to be ignored (insert big tear here). It's okay...I'm not hurt for life or anything. hehehe :o)..

Oh no..I am asking for validation of some debts only because I see them on my credit report not becuz I recieved a notice. Is there a distinction I should know about in terms of potential violations? I plan to contact the Synergy CRA who is reporting that I owe $32.00 when the parking ticket was actually $7.00...

Dolly,.

Try starting your own thread, you will get better results. The ones who have already answered may not see your questions this way. I see you are new also, have you read all of the top 3 posts? I am asking because I can see your confusion in the your last two posts. Spend as much time reading as you can before you send out anything...

Sorry if I hurt your feelings. :) Butch had replied to a similar question so I sought out his advice. But I would like to hear anyones thoughts on the subject..

I asked the CA for validation because of my credit report. Does this make a difference?..

No harm no foul islandboy....

I just didn't understand why you solicited other's responses after not hearing from Butch, but then you turned around and didn't even acknowledge them. I'm not hurt...I was just bewildered and like I said above, just a tad bit irritated. But, I got over that in like...um..2 minutes..

I'm sure Butch gave you excellent advice on how to tackle this :o) You asked a great person about your question...
