A friend just emailed me and asked me to do her a favor.
She just bought Wild tickets on Craigslist. The only problem: she lives almost two hours away from the seller and he wants her to pick them up tonight. She has to work tonight. So she’s asking me to pick them up.
Pros: It’s helping out a friend.
Cons: It’s an inconvenience. It takes me out of my way and delays my commute. (I’m still a little irked from my morning commute thanks to 3+ inches of snow. It took me about 1.5 hours to get to work this morning.) I will get stuck in worse traffic because I have to head further in toward the city than normal. I have plans with Bird tonight that it may or may not interfere with. The kicker, I have to come up with $100 to pay for the tickets, which means I’ll be withdrawing from an ATM here at work which is going to cost me a $2 fee. Woof. I know, I know, not really a big deal, but it’s all still kind of annoying.
Anyway, I’m still going to do it because that list of cons doesn’t come even close to outweighing that one pro.
My friend has promised to drive up to my house tonight to pick up the tickets and pay me back.
