There may not be a rise, but the consumers are simply more aware of their rights and are taking action. A little over three years ago, I thought there was nothing I could do to fix my credit but wait 7 years. Today, I know my rights and know that I just don't have to be afraid of collectors and wait...

[sarcasm].

I cant believe the besmirching of collection agencies good names going on here..

These people do a thankless job, PERFECTLY, with zero infractions..

Its these damn evil consumers that are just stirring trouble because.

Every single one of them are deadbeats that legitimately owe.

A balance. Rather than be fine, upstanding folks like Collections.

Agencies, the evil consumer chooses to hide behind pesky laws..

[/sarcasm]..

The one Ca that I'm currently trying to settle with was a ACA member. I went there first. The CA fixed EX but never the other two..

Not to mention it admitted to ACA that they responded to my 2nd request at how they came up with what they said I owed, the same day they sent out a letter to the creditor..

They even so much as sent the two page bill showing one amount and a cover letter showing a different amount, and yet when they answered the claims filing, they are claiming bonafide error, and that they don't know if they are a "debt" collector under the current laws. I kid you not..

Defendant XXXXXX. ("XXXXXXX€?), a Wisconsin.

Corporation, is a wholly owned subsidiary of XXXXXXXXXXX. XZXXXX.

Is the largest healthcare-only collection agency in the state of Wisconsin..

XXXXXXs headquarters is located at XXXXXXXXXX.

Is engaged in the collection of debts from consumers using the mail.

And telephone. XXXXXXX regularly attempts to collect consumer debts alleged to be due to.

Another. XXXXXXX is a €˜€˜debt collector€™€™ as defined by the FDCPA, 15 U.S.C. 1692a(6).

And by Wis. Stat. 427.103(3)..

Answering paragraph 4 of the complaint, defendant lacks knowledge or.

Information sufficient to form a belief as to the truth of the averment that it is a €‚debt collector€‚.

As defined under the FDCPA and the Wisconsin Consumer Act for purposes of this action..

Defendant further lacks knowledge or information sufficient to form a belief as to the truth of the.

Averment that XXXXXXX is engaged in the collection of debts from €‚consumers€‚ alleged to be.

Due to another. Answering further, XXXXX admits the remaining averments set forth in.

Paragraph 4...
