My first question is Difference and benifits between Discover Card and visa card? Looking forward for any answer. Another question... Hello,.

I have recently maxed out all of my credit cards on a construction job we were doing for an investment. I have racked up about $65,000 on 8 accounts. This lowered my credit score from the 750 range down to the mid 600's..

My question is, how much will my credit score jump when I pay back all of the debt this month? Will it reach the mid 700's again? Or am I stuck rebuilding for a while?.

I really didn't expect to have my scores drop this much!.

Thanks in advance...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at Discover Card as they probably could help you..

If debt was the only thing that brought down your scores, I would say yes, your scores might even be higher than before due to an increase in age..

Nobody knows exactly how much it will increase, but it's probably going to be a big increase...

Not always. FICO might stay same or even decrease sometimes due to different buckets. As always, YMMV...

For the most part yes you will go back to where you were plus or minus a few points...

It will eventually get back to where you were. I doubt that the increase will be immediate...

The technical term for the type of increase you'll see is a "buttload".....
