First question I have is Description of a Lending Tree mortgage processing clerk? Looking forward for any response. Another quick question... I just received a Delta SkyMiles Business Card from AmEx (less than a week ago). I got it because I was going to be traveling to Phoenix a lot and Delta had a direct flight with good times. Well, I just found out that effective Feb. 3rd they are discontinuing that flight and will no longer offer a direct flight to Phoenix..

So, now I've got this card that earns me miles on an airline that I won't be flying. I was thinking of calling AmEx and seeing if they'll let me switch to a different card... probably Blue for Business or the Business Cash Rebate Card..

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I know that they won't let you switch between the charge and credit products but couldn't find anything about switching from one credit card to another credit card. If they will let me do this would they pull another inquiry? Would my credit line remain the same?.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks,.

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an useful answer. You should email the people at Lending Tree as they probably know..

Ask for NEW ACCOUNTS...when I did a "SPIN OFF" from BLUE they took part of the BLUE limit and made a AMEX DELTA GOLD....

They said they can do things that the CSR'S will tell you "YOU CAN'T DO THAT"..

I really see no harm done in you calling them and asking. All anyone could do on here is speculate, but AmEx would be able to tell youfor sure..

You could even call anonymously if you dont want them to know what you're planning.... you could say you just had a quick general question to ask...

UPDATE:.

Well, talked to CSR at AmEx and looks like I can't do it (though I got conflicting stories)..

Rep #1 said: Can't switch account to a different card but could apply for a new card and then when I receive it just call and cancel the SkyMiles card. She then transferred me to Rep #2..

Rep #2 said: Can't apply for a new card until I close the SkyMiles card since they can't open more than 1 credit account within a 90 day period. However, this won't work because I already did a BT onto the SkyMiles card when I opened it. Said that I could apply for a charge (not credit) card since you can open separate credit & charge accounts within the 90 day period. Tried to talk me into applying for the Business Platinum Charge card but I held off for now..

So, guess I'm stuck with the SkyMiles card for at least 90 days at which point I can apply for a different credit card and then transfer the balance from the SkyMiles card over to the new card and close the SkyMiles or just leave the balance on the SkyMiles and have 2 of their business credit cards if I'd prefer..

Anyone have opinions on the Business Plat. Charge card? Are the benefits worth the $300 annual fee? What kind of score/utilization % do they look for on that card?.

Thanks again for all your responses!.

Has anyone else had any success with opening more than one revolving account with AMEX within 90 days (do you think you could open Business Capital Line and a credit card?)? What about applying for two at the same time (perhaps in order to BDD)?..
