Question I have... Can I use my greendot prepaid Discover Card/visa right after I buy it at the store? Thanks for any comment. My 2nd question... Yeah, i'm gonna use the MC as a card to use and payoff quickly. It'll be my only Discover credit card other than my debit card so I'll bend over and take the AF and go from there. The store card was an idea but will accept denial. lol.. |

Ye, but you might want to make sure and wait for another person to confirm it as I am not completely sure. Better yet, why don't you email the Discover Card guys because they can answer your Discover Card question better...

Did you see that $75 annual fee when applying online or did you learn of that after receiving the card? I applied and after a lot of frustration with the application I was approved for $4,000. The pre-selector site told me the AF was $0, so if I receive this card and it is for a $75 AF then I think I might give it a second thought.. ouch that seems high....

Didn't see it but i'll absorb it if I can get a card right now......
If I ever receive it.... applied 12/27 and still haven't received the card. Called them on Monday, says they sent it out 12/29. said if I don't see it by week's end to call them.. It's only coming to southern california, not egypt. sheez....... |

I applied on 12/19 and got it on 1/4. They told me it was sent out 12/20 and it was sent out on 12/26 according to the mailer.It took almost two weeks. It may be the holidays. Remember to ask for CLI and reduced AF..

FYI, I got the $300 card last week. I applied online and I got an email that I had to call in. I then got approved , once they verified it was actually me. The rep wouldn't waive the $75 fee nor cut it in half... I asked to speak to a spvsr and the spvsr cut it in 1/2... I was happy..

Mine was Reward Zone Mastercard. I dont think this comes in platinum?..

I had a Best Buy card about 5 or 6 years ago. I bought a few things, paid them off, and closed it. I recently tried to get it back but got denied...

Recently, was approved for a BB RZ MC (via online pre-selector). I had to call in to mainly verify identity. Then CSR said I was approved with a $300 CL. She had mentioned nothing about an AF. So, now I'm betting it has some high AF once I receive the stuff in the mail. If so, I'm going to try to call and get it reduced at least. $75 is highway robbery!..

What does it say on the card? Does the card have "Platinum" under Discover Card logo? Do they charge you $75 AF? If it is , you need call them to cut AF in half..

Last time I was threaten to call to close and they transferred me to retention department. They could give you CLI and cut half of AF. Call them before activate the card..

Still waiting to receive the card.. Just was curious how the OP found out about the $75 AF since I could have sworn mine said $0 AF on the pre-selector site (kicking myself now for not printing that screen). Definitely will call to reduce/eliminate it if there is an AF. I was planning on using this to replace another card with $39 AF so would make no sense to keep this one if AF is $75...

I didn't print the pre-qualify screen. I went ahead to apply for the card. First, I read the terms before I activated my card. That's what I did. By the way , how did you know you got $75 AF card?.

How much of a c/l increae did they give you? I am going to try that as well to get a bump from the $300 to atleast $500. Was it a just issued card or ??..

I called them before activation. They gave me $150.00 CLI (from $300 to $450 CL.) and cut AF from $59. to $29.95 for a year. I didn't bother to activate the card. They beg to keep the card as a backup card. They also told me to keep it to rebuild creditand I didn't need one.

RINSE~REPEAT. You could get like $1,200 or so a month out of it. NOT THAT I (personally) WOULD TAKE A $300 CARD. ...it would be an insult.. |

I applied on line for the Rewards MC, received message that I already had thee limit of HSBC cards. A week later I received a letter in the mail to verify address, called in, was approved for $500.0..

I started out after BK7 about 2 years ago I got a HSBC card, $300 limit $59 AF, I really helped build my credit, now after the second year, I asked them to waive it they said they would do half, so I paid it and kept was consider closing it, but they only gave me a $100 increase after 2 years, they suck on increases, I will never get another HSBC product again, I now have 15 credit cards, I'm getting up there....
