The answer is Yes, although you might want to make sure and wait for another member to confirm it as I am not confident. Better yet, why don't you call the Lending Tree guys because they can answer you better...

Is there some other way, then, that people have figured out how to get this sort of information?. Yeah, she is a crab. And I want to slam her with a validation letter and C&D because she's threatening to contact my neighbors. Perhaps if I call and get her voicemail like you did, Radi8, I should leave her my address and get her to send me a letterprevent her from being able to say I was 'unlocatable'? Stupid idea? I'm still too newbie to know. This situation is kind of forcing me into the fray before I feel educated enough to make the wisest choices.. Anyone?.. |

Maybe you should call her, suggest that you have "something" to send in, and need the mailing address.. Do NOT admit to anything, or agree to anything.. Then send them the validation demand.. I tried calling out of curiousity. Some lady answered..
Her: "May I help you?". Me: "I must have the wrong number.". Her: "Who are you trying to reach.". Me: "Someone else.", click.. Funny thing was, she called back about 10 min later. I only caught the area code 912.. Me: my name, company (I'm at work).. Her: "Who is this?".. Me: my name.. Her: "OK".. Me: "Who are you looking for?". Her: "Someone just called here and hung up" click. I thought that was weird.. Peace,. Swankone.. |

She is crabby. Is getting mad that people keep calling her about a "friend.".
Says it is a "collection center." They don't have an address to send to! They have a fax number but she refused to give it to me. Says my friend needs to call and get it.. Name of agency is Francis & Johnson.. Maybe if everyone here started calling.... 0.. |

The thing is this: she will want to know my name prior to answering for me the same Q you put to her. Probably won't accept some made up one, if she knows of all the cases she's handling. Then she'll know she can get to me at my phone number and this address. I don't want to get served papers (see my 'about to be sued' thread for the background to this). Well. Anyway, would this call mess me up on that front? I don't want to call her at some pay phone, stroll back home, and then have to open my front door to sign for some legal papers or something... ICk... |

On my other thread having to do with aspects of this one ('about to get sued'), LB59 found out that it's some weird claims processing center. Probably just a pseudonym for Dirty Guido's CA. What a witch!! She answered with hello, wouldn't tell me who she was, when I asked who I had contacted, she replied just give me your name, we have various clients. When she couldn't look up by name I gave her, she asked for SS#, told her I didn't know DH #. Then she asked for phone # to look it up. I said I don't give out that information. She hung up on me. What a rotten witch...

No, my impression was that she wasn't straight up about anything. I called her back because she peeved me, badly. I was all calm and stated that maybe we had gotten off on the wrong foot(I was very calm and polite the 1st time). I asked for an address to handle this issue through correspondence. She refused to give me one, said we were'nt in the database, so she refused to give me anything. I told her that they showed up on my CR and needed info to get this cleared up- she hung up on me again.
She told me that she didn't have to give me any information and get over it. Told me she runs a database that we're not on, she had to many calls holding to deal with me and then hung up on me again. Now I really want to know who she is!.. |
