Quick question: Can a Discover Card cash plus gold card? Thanks in advance for any comment. Second question.. I've been away from CB for the past three weeks (roughly) thanks to holidays and a GREAT (sarcasm) 3-day jury duty term which I just got back from. So now that I am back at work, I would like to start back up where I left off..

Now I know that there were changes to MCK, as has been made well aware to all with forums riddled throughout CB since January 1st at midnight. I've been looking it up and I see that people are also looking for alternatives for the third puller since they are experiencing choppage, like myself. Now I know that some suggest USAA as a third puller. I do not know what is the best for me right now? I have been using:.

CCT.

MPM.

Can anyone suggest what they would use to create B* on EQ please with these two programs???.

Now with USAA, do you need a certain FICO to become a member and what does it take to become one?.

I apologize for, yet again, another thread with questions concerning a topic that has been discussed to eye-bleeding lengths..

Yes sir! but... you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else to confirm it as I am not sure. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the Discover Card guys because they can answer you better...

I meant who does USAA pull for a hard when you try to create an acct with them since they are a CU? And do you need to place money into an acct when applying? And do they require a specific FICO score for apps????..

Fairly sure that USAA is an EQ puller and yes, you need to open an account with them in order to qualify for their services. I am fairly sure that as long as you qualify from a military affiliation standpoint you could get at least a basic account with them. As to FICO requirements, I would check the pulls databse and see what comes up...

Actually, I do not think that is correct. Anyone can join, and also without opening an account. I just called, and got my membership number in 5 minutes. Then I went to their website to set up my login, and then signed up for USAA-CCMP...

When you called them to become a member, did you just tell the CSR that you want to become a member without an account??? Please let me know what you said to the CSR when they picked up the phone and asked how they could help you..

Thank you!..

I just said I want to become a member and I do not have military ties. If you want an excuse to get off the phone after they give you your member number, just say you will look at the banking products on the internet...

When I spoke with someone just now they said that if you are not military you do not qualify for a credit card. Just a savings and checking account...

I thought about signing up for USAA online but it did ask for my social. That was just to become a member...not for the credit monitoring itself so I decided to pass. Will try their CS again tomorrow...

You will get the info in a week or so. If you are really chomping at the bit, call 'em...some have done that and gotten at their pulls a bit faster...

USAA is EX based. Although I do have military affiliation through my dad, I would suggest signing up for the service, even if you don't; their customer service is really nice. I enjoy the look of USAA CCM and it's been great for B*. I signed up for the service on 11/24/09 by 12/03 I started getting TU B* and on 01/09/10 I started getting EQ B* (which I didn't think would happen ). I guess I'm a little partial to USAA, I just like it, but to each their own...
