Friday: Bird came over to my place and we had a relaxing night in. Well, first we walked to Target and bought toys for Operation Christmas Child. After spending about $40 for that, we headed home. We grilled brats for dinner and settled in for a night of watching Buffy. We’re steadily making our way through Season 2.
Saturday: I slept in. Then I went out for lunch with my parents and one brother. Free meal. After lunch, I drove up to Bird’s. We hung out for a bit and then we went out for dinner. $22. After dinner we went to a sports store and I bought a mouthguard for my bruxism. The sporting mouthguards ranged from $1.99 to $19.99. I chose the $1.99 option ($2.12 with tax), but I haven’t actually molded it or used it yet. After that errand, we rented Ironman from the RedBox. $1.07. We really enjoyed it! On the way home from Bird’s that night, I came as close as I ever have to running out of gas and I basically coasted into the gas station on fumes. Filling up a completely empty tank for $18.50 – that’s awesome.
Sunday: Got up and went to church with Bird and friend, T. At church, we dropped off our shoe boxes from Friday night. For lunch, the three of us went to Chipotle. I paid for my own. $8. Then Bird and I ran some errands (without spending any money) and that afternoon we attended a friend’s choir concert. I didn’t love it, but it was fun to see him up there singing his heart out. For dinner we just had a frozen pizza and then watched a couple more episodes of Buffy.
Total spent for the weekend: Approx. $92
I’m happy with that. It was a really fun weekend.
